10 New Accor Live Limitless Hotels for Your Return to Travel

Accor Hotels comprise more than 30 brands including Sofitel, Fairmont, Swissotel, Raffles, Banyan Tree, Angsana, MGallery Collection and Mövenpick. Members of the Accor Live Limitless loyalty program, known as ALL, can earn and redeem points at properties around the world.

ALL works differently than other hotel loyalty programs. Points are used as a credit to the cash room rate, with as few as 2,000 points valued as a 40-euro discount off the cost of the room. Points are linked to euros even in locations where euros aren’t the local currency.

You need at least 2,000 points to make a redemption, and you can choose how many more points you want to apply to offset the cost of the room. For example, a 200-euro-per-night hotel room would cost 10,000 ALL points, but you can use as little as 2,000 points and combine them with a cash rate paid with any credit card. The number of points required for a free night varies based on the nightly rate.

Plus, if you have the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, you have even more flexibility: Apply points to your credit card bill or transfer them to ALL to redeem toward hotel nights. The Americas

Fairmont El San Juan

Located on one of Puerto Rico’s most beautiful beaches, Isla Verde, this resort is new to the Accor family in 2020. After an enormous renovation project, the Fairmont El San Juan showcases modern guest room interiors with all the classic Fairmont touches (Le Labo perfumery toiletries are particular favorites of repeat guests).

The resort’s multiple swimming pools, on-site casino, historic lobby and spa are big draws. Locals have long viewed the property as a landmark perfect for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and weddings. There’s a variety of bars and restaurants, including Chico Cabaret, with its "roaring 1960s" design (much of the architecture was restored, not re-created), great bands and craft cocktails.

21c Museum Hotel, Chicago

21c Hotels have joined Accor’s MGallery Hotel Collection, marking the first entry for the brand into North America and the largest of the 21c properties in the collection. 21c Chicago showcases the brand’s design aesthetic, with chef-led dining and museum-quality decor.

The brand’s founder wanted to bring contemporary art to the public and what better way to do that than in a downtown hotel that is open to the public as an art gallery?

The hotel is great for business travelers who want to sample a bit of local talent but don’t have time to visit a museum. The hotel has 10,000 square feet of exhibition and event space with rotating installations and cultural programming in partnership with big-name arts organizations. Tourists will love its location near Michigan Avenue. Admission to the exhibitions is free to everyone 365 days a year.

Banyan Tree Mayakoba, Mexico

The Banyan Tree Mayakoba is part of the larger Mayakoba resort complex, which includes Banyan Tree, Fairmont and Rosewood. Banyan Tree officially joined Accor’s loyalty program in 2019, adding the ability to earn and redeem points for stays. Guests here can use facilities at some of the other resorts within the complex, like the spas, restaurants and a golf course.

Don’t miss the Thai restaurant, Saffron, at Banyan Tree, and the Asian-influenced treatments and hydrotherapy circuit at the spa. There’s even a free guided-boat tour that guests can take through the complex to explore the native wildlife and plants.

SLS Baha Mar, Nassau, Bahamas

Bahamian furnishings and dramatic views are hallmarks of this resort complex in the Bahamas. SLS Baha Mar participates in the ALL loyalty program, and its pink paradise destination has everything you need for a little rest and relaxation. Swimming pools, eclectic dining, craft cocktails and plenty of sunshine await.

Part of the Baha Mar complex, which introduced the Baha Bay Beach Club earlier this year, this SLS features two infinity pools, cabanas, daybeds and views of the marina. Book before the end of the year for a stay from Oct. 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021, to earn a bonus 5,000 American AAdvantage miles. This fall, the resort plans to open an 18-hole miniature golf course.

Fairmont Rio de Janeiro

Located on one of the world’s most famous beaches, the Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana opened in mid-2019 to great fanfare. Guests can cross the street to frolic in the sand or enjoy majestic views from the elevated swimming pool and patio, with Sugarloaf Mountain perfectly framed in the distance.

The Spirit Copa Bar serves up authentic caipirinhas, Brazil’s national cocktail, and travelers here will appreciate the central address. Another great amenity at this hotel is its dedicated Fairmont Gold level, which comes with a private lounge serving breakfast, refreshments and an evening happy hour with snacks for guests who book this room category.

Mama Shelter, London

Based in France, Accor has always been particularly strong in Europe. The Greet Hotel Beaune showcases locally sourced cuisine, furnishings and decor upcycled from the region, and simple design that places the emphasis on the location. Raffles Singapore

Though hardly new — this property dates back to 1887 — and not even new to Accor, the Raffles Singapore made our list by reopening after a thorough restoration. And it’s better than ever.

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort

Opened in the fall of 2019, Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort offers postcard-perfect overwater bungalows with private swimming pools and ladders that lead directly from the room to the sea.
