Disneyland tickets and park pricing may be rising up to 25% this time, but there are a few ways to find cheaper tickets and cut other corners to keep your Disney vacation affordable.

1. Buy resale or multi-day tickets

Get tickets from a reseller who purchased their passes before the rate hike. Sanders recommends Get Away Today. Tickets have no blackout dates, and you can use them anytime in 2019 if you purchase them by Jan. 15, 2019.

Additionally, the cost per day can be significantly less when buying multi-day tickets, so plan ahead if you expect to visit the park more than one time.

2. Skip the Disney MaxPass upgrade

Disney MaxPass allows you to use the app to check in for ride lines for $15 per person per day. But you can still use the FASTPASS check-in at each ride’s kiosk for free, which can help save you some cash.

3. Pack snacks

Use a small cooler bag you can fit in a tote. You can also have older kids carry their own lunches.

Buy meals in advance using the Disneyland mobile app, so you can see your total and avoid going over budget.

4. Check the calendar

Time of year can affect ticket pricing. If it’s a day trip, compare seasonal pricing.

5. Set a souvenir budget

To keep your budget locked in, you can purchase Disney gift cards at Target before your trip and use those in the park. And if you use your TargetREDcard, you will get 5% off the purchase price.
