Airfares are expected to drop in August and the coming months, according to the travel app Hopper, which could make it a great time to book flights for your next trip. We found cheap flights on three different airlines this week and one great vacation package that includes airfare. All deals are subject to restrictions and availability.

1. Worldwide fare sale on Emirates

Several routes are on sale at Emirates. There are round-trip flights from Washington, D.C., to Johannesburg for less than $800, for example. From New York City-area airports, there are deals to Milan and Athens for less than $600 round-trip. Book by Aug. 4, 2019.

2. SoCal flights from $59 on Alaska

Flights out of Southern California are as low as $59 one-way with Alaska’s latest fare sale. We found one-way flights from Los Angeles to Seattle for $79 one-way. You must book by Aug. 5, 2019, for travel between Sept. 4 and Nov. 20, 2019. The cheapest fares are saver fares, so seats will most likely be assigned at check-in.

3. Delta deals to Europe

It’s getting cheaper and cheaper to fly to Europe these days, particularly for West Coast-based travelers. Delta has deals under $400 for round-trip flights from San Francisco to Paris and London. Travelers in New York, Boston, Miami and Seattle can score some equally great deals to Europe as well. Most routes are on sale for fall and winter travel through Jan. 2020. There is no deadline to book, but availability may be limited.

4. Southwest fares from $29

From SoCal to NorCal, Southwest flights from several airports are on sale for a limited time. One-way flights start at $29 each way. Now’s the time to book your travel, especially if you’re departing from a California airport. Sale ends July 31, 2019.
