TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card full review
The TD Cash Back Visa Infinite card is a cash-back credit card that earns 1% to 3% cash back on eligible purchases (even more if you take advantage of its generous intro offer).
Is the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card worth it?
It depends on your spending habits. Ideally, you want to get more than you give when you have a credit card. After the first year, the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite’s annual fee is $139. To recoup that cost, you’d need to spend at least $4,633 on groceries or gas in one year. That’s about $386 monthly. Anything you spend on groceries or gas beyond this will earn cash back you can pocket.
Point value breakdown
The TD Cash Back Visa Infinite’s ongoing rate is 1% on non-bonus categories. One percent cash back is equal to $0.01. So for each dollar, you spend that’s eligible for cash back with the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite credit card, you’ll earn $0.01.
Benefits of TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card
In addition to earning cash back on eligible purchases, TD Cash Back Visa Infinite cardholders also get round-the-clock roadside assistance courtesy of a free Deluxe TD Auto Club Membership, and car rental discounts when renting with Avis or Budget. The card offers travel and auto rental insurance and cardholders get Visa Infinite perks, including 24-hour access to the Visa Infinite Concierge service team.
Drawbacks of TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card
This card’s $139 annual fee is average (as far as credit card fees go), but some cards don’t charge annual fees.
There’s also an annual income requirement, which limits applicants to those with an individual annual income of $60,000 annually or an annual household income of $100,000.
You’ll also need to be mindful of how much you spend — the 3% cash back on groceries and gas drops to 1% once you spend more than $15,000 in each category annually.
Is TD Bank reliable and secure?

TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card details and eligibility
Who qualifies for the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card?
You must be a Canadian resident and at least the age of majority for your province or territory to be eligible for the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite card. You’ll also need to meet credit score and income requirements.
Approximate credit score needed for approval
Canadian credit card issuers rarely disclose required credit scores, which makes it hard to know your chances of approval when comparing credit cards. It also means any score suggestion we make would be our best guess — which may not be accurate and could result in card application rejections. We don’t want that.
Suggesting that you’d need a “good” or “excellent” score would also be confusing, because the meaning of those terms can vary depending on the rating system card issuers use.
Instead, we’ll tell you what we do know: higher scores have better chances of approval — that’s true no matter what type of credit you’re applying for. Visit our “What Credit Score is Needed for a Credit Card?” page to learn more.

Income requirements
A minimum annual income of $60,000 for an individual or $100,000 for a household is required to qualify for the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite.
Who should get the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite?
The TD Cash Back Visa Infinite offers its highest earn rate on groceries and gas. Those with sizable grocery bills, multi-vehicle households or long commutes will be able to make the most of this credit card’s cash-back rewards program.
How to know if the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite is right for you
If you typically use a credit card at the gas station or grocery store or are looking for a card that earns cash you can use to pay down your card balance, the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite might be a good fit.
Value of TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card’s intro offer: $549+
The intro offer for the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite includes a 10% cash-back rate on all purchases for three months and no annual fee for the first year of card membership. Right off the bat, the free year of card membership immediately saves you $139. But how much value could you squeeze out of the accelerated welcome rate?
You’d earn 10% on all eligible purchases in the first three months, up to a total spend of $2,000, which means a potential $200 cash back.
After this, the cash-back rate drops to 6% for the next $3,500 you spend on gas, groceries and pre-authorized payments in the first three months, which is another $210 (you’ll earn 1% on all other purchases).
Once you pass both bonus spending caps, the cash-back rate falls to the standard rates for the card, which are 3% for gas, groceries and recurring bill payments and 1% for everything else.
Still, factoring in the waived annual fee, that’s a $549 value — all within the first year of card membership. And that doesn’t account for any other cash back you earn at the standard rate.
