How do I make a Canada Life life insurance claim?

If you want to make a claim, you can call Canada Life. Alternatively, you can send an email or write to the customer services department.

To get a claim under way, you’ll usually need to provide the full name of the deceased, the cause of death, and the policy number, if it’s known. Once a claim has been reviewed, you’ll normally need to send Canada Life an original death certificate, which will be returned.

Can I cancel my Canada Life life insurance?

If your policy has just started and you change your mind within 30 days of receiving your cancellation form, you can return the form and get your premiums back.

Alternatively, you can cancel your Canada Life life insurance policy at any time. Be aware, there is no refund if you cancel after the 30-day cancellation period has expired.

What do I need for my Canada Life insurance application?

You’ll need to be prepared to share information about your age, weight, height and health. Any medical conditions that run through your family history must be disclosed too..
