We believe everyone should be able to make financial decisions with
confidence. While we don't cover every company or financial product on
the market, we work hard to share a wide range of offers and objective
editorial perspectives.
So how do we make money? Our partners compensate us for advertisements that
appear on our site. This compensation helps us provide tools and services -
like free credit score access and monitoring. With the exception of
mortgage, home equity and other home-lending products or services, partner
compensation is one of several factors that may affect which products we
highlight and where they appear on our site. Other factors include your
credit profile, product availability and proprietary website methodologies.
However, these factors do not influence our editors' opinions or ratings, which are based on independent research and analysis. Our partners cannot
pay us to guarantee favorable reviews. Here is a list of our partners.

Marriott Bonvoy is the loyalty program representing more than 30 brands and nearly 10,000 Marriott-branded hotels and resorts worldwide. Members can earn points for their stays, through Marriott co-branded credit cards and with partners, to later redeem for travel or rewards.
Marriott PointSavers allows members to redeem their hard-earned points at reduced levels at eligible properties.
Since Marriott has switched to a dynamic pricing model, where the number of points you need for a redemption night varies based on local demand, it can be hard to determine if you are getting a good deal. Marriott discontinued its awards chart, which had fixed numbers of points for properties and made it easy for travelers to know how many points to save for a future trip.
But PointSavers can still offer good value for your points if your dates are flexible. Here's how the Marriott Bonvoy PointSavers option can help you get better use from your travel redemptions.

What is the Marriott PointSavers program?
Since Marriott Bonvoy has shifted to a dynamic pricing model, the redemption cost depends on demand for each property on the particular dates you want to visit. It’s the supply and demand concept from Economics 101: The more popular a hotel is on a certain date, the more it will cost.
But with the PointSavers option, you can find the inverse. On less popular dates, or when a hotel has excess room inventory, you can find rooms at discounted rates.
This program is ideal for those who have flexibility in where they want to travel. You know how many points you have in your program balance, and you want to make the most of them. Using the PointSavers search feature can be a fun way to explore new destinations and expand your horizons. Here’s how to find these deals.
Choose travel dates
Head to the PointSavers page and search for your travel dates and destination.
You can also search by calendar if you have flexible dates. It functions in the same way as the normal search on Marriott.com.
The calendar function allows you to toggle between cash or points viewing so that you can see the overall cost. Typically, you will see a correlation between the lowest nights in points and the lowest nights in cash.
Once you settle on a hotel and travel dates, you will need a credit card to confirm your reservation. The standard cancellation policies would apply, although these can vary by hotel.
You can then choose to pay the entire cost in points or as a combination of cash and points. If you log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account, you will find a discount on the cash cost of a stay for members.
Will you find the best value with Marriott PointSavers?
While PointSavers has lost some of its excitement since the loyalty program switched to dynamic pricing, it is still a great way to get great value from your points. With so many ways to earn Marriott Bonvoy points, it only makes sense that you maximize them when redeeming for an upcoming trip.
Keep in mind that not all properties will offer these rates, especially during peak travel periods. But if you find a good deal and are flexible with your travel dates and hotel options, you can get great value from Marriott Bonvoy with PointSavers rewards.
