We believe everyone should be able to make financial decisions with
confidence. While we don't cover every company or financial product on
the market, we work hard to share a wide range of offers and objective
editorial perspectives.
So how do we make money? Our partners compensate us for advertisements that
appear on our site. This compensation helps us provide tools and services -
like free credit score access and monitoring. With the exception of
mortgage, home equity and other home-lending products or services, partner
compensation is one of several factors that may affect which products we
highlight and where they appear on our site. Other factors include your
credit profile, product availability and proprietary website methodologies.
However, these factors do not influence our editors' opinions or ratings, which are based on independent research and analysis. Our partners cannot
pay us to guarantee favorable reviews. Here is a list of our partners.

The popular $0-annual-fee Chase Freedom Unlimited® has updated its welcome bonus for new cardholders — but it won't be available for much longer.
Until 9 a.m. ET on April 30, 2026, new cardholders are eligible to earn a $250 bonus after they spend $500 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening. This offer is also available to new applicants when they apply in-person at Chase branches, from March 16, 2026 to May 3, 2026.
This limited-time welcome bonus is $50 more than the card’s typical $200 bonus, but not as rich as the limited-time $300 bonus it offered from Dec. 11, 2025, through Jan. 15, 2026.
Apart from the updated bonus, the card’s other terms and benefits remain the same. Here’s what cardholders earn with the Chase Freedom Unlimited®:
Rewards:
5% back on travel booked through Chase.
3% back at restaurants, including takeout and eligible delivery services.
3% back on drugstore purchases.
Through September 2027, 2% back on qualifying Lyft services purchased through the Lyft app.
1.5% cash back on everything else.
The card’s rewards are earned as Chase Ultimate Rewards® points, which are worth a penny each when redeemed for cash back. Points may also be redeemed for gift cards and travel booked through Chase at the rate of 1 cent per point, and for Amazon purchases at 0.8 cent per point.
Whether you want to pay less interest or earn more rewards, the right card's out there. Just answer a few questions and we'll narrow the search for you.
