The Bank of America® Premium Rewards® credit card, popular among travelers, is bolstering rewards on spending in a non-travel category.

Through Dec. 31, 2021, cardholders can earn 2 points for every $1 spent on grocery store purchases. (Grocery store spending usually earns only 1.5 points per dollar.)

The issuer has offered other non-travel incentives throughout the pandemic as travel remains largely curtailed.

Other card features are unchanged

Ongoing rewards:

  • 2 points per $1 spent on travel and dining purchases.

  • 1.5 points per $1 on all other spending.

Cardholders who are members of the Bank of America Preferred Rewards® program with at least $20,000 in combined balances in Bank of America® or eligible Merrill accounts can also earn a 25% to 75% boost in points on every purchase.

Annual fee: $95

Sign-up bonus: Receive 60,000 online bonus points - a $600 value - after you make at least $4,000 in purchases in the first 90 days of account opening..
