The Citi Prestige® Card is phasing out the acceptance of new applications.

While it's unclear whether the premium travel card will be replaced with a new product, as of July 2021 it's no longer listed among Citi’s suite of credit cards on the issuer's website.

Citi says it will continue to service existing Prestige cardholders and is encouraging potential new Citi customers to explore other card options, such as the Citi Premier® Card and the Citi Custom Cash® Card. (Editor's note: In 2024, the Citi Premier® Card was removed from the market and replaced with the Citi Strata Premier℠ Card.)

Current Prestige customers will still be able to use the $495-annual-fee card as normal and continue to earn the following rewards:

  • 5 ThankYou points per $1 spent on purchases at airlines and travel agencies.

  • 5 ThankYou points per $1 spent on purchases at restaurants.

  • 3 ThankYou points per $1 spent on purchases at hotels and with cruise lines.

  • 1 ThankYou point per $1 spent on all other purchases.
