Citi’s mobile app lets you handle most credit card-related tasks yourself. You can sign in with a fingerprint or an ID and password. If you don’t want to log in every time, the Citi Mobile Snapshot feature lets you view balances and several recent transactions.
Using the app allows you to make payments on credit balances and to monitor your FICO score. Watch your score go up or down, and get a breakdown of key factors that affect it. You also can redeem rewards, set notifications and report if your card is lost, damaged or stolen. If you misplace your credit card, you can lock it and unlock it with just a few taps in the app. If you need to speak to an agent, the app provides a way to contact customer service directly.
The app offers a spending summary to help you monitor money in different categories, such as merchandise, restaurants, travel, health care and so on. But the feature doesn’t always categorize transactions correctly.
The Citi app receives favorable ratings in the app stores for iPhone and Android devices. It also is available for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices.
