The AAdvantage® Aviator® Silver Mastercard®, issued by Barclays, has an annual fee of $199 and offers perks that are specifically tailored toward frequent American Airlines flyers.
The only way to get the card is by upgrading from the AAdvantage® Aviator® Red World Elite Mastercard® — which you’re eligible to do once you’ve had that card for more than 90 days. Once you’ve upgraded, you’ll get additional perks like a statement credit toward the cost of Global Entry and two companion certificates for $99 each (plus taxes and fees), in addition to free checked bags, priority boarding and discounts on in-flight food and beverage purchases.
