Pros and Cons

Pros
  • No foreign transaction fee

Cons
  • Has annual fee

  • Most valuable for those who fly British Airways or oneworld partners

For avid globetrotters and big spenders, the British Airways Visa Signature® Card is well worth its annual fee. Because British Airways is a member of the OneWorld travel alliance, you can redeem Avios, the global rewards currency this card uses, with more than a dozen member airlines around the world, including American Airlines. And if you charge more than $30,000 to this card over during a calendar year, you can earn a Travel Together Ticket, which lets you bring a companion for free on the next domestic flight you book with rewards. This ticket is good for two years.

The British Airways Visa Signature® Card also comes with a generous signup bonus: Earn 50,000 bonus Avios after you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening. Earn an additional 25,000 bonus Avios after you spend $10,000 total on purchases within your first year from account opening for a total of 75,000 bonus Avios. Earn a further 25,000 bonus Avios after you spend $20,000 total on purchases within your first year from account opening for a total of 100,000 bonus Avios. And with no foreign transaction fees, you can also take this card on your next adventure abroad without worrying about the extra costs.
