In recent years, several mid-market airline credit cards have hiked their annual fees past $100.

The card is increasing its annual fee to $150 (with a $0 introductory annual fee for the first 12 months). It previously charged an annual fee of $99 (also with a $0 intro annual fee for the first 12 months).

Along with its fee increase, the card is also tweaking its rewards structure and adding new benefits like travel protections, a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit, and an annual in-flight credit.

These new and updated benefits will go into effect for all cardholders on Jan. 24, 2027. New cardholders who apply after that date will also be charged the new annual fee. Existing cardholders who have had the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard® for more than 12 months will be charged the new fee on their next card renewal date after Jan. 24, 2027. However, those who have had the card for less than a year will receive details about when they’ll be charged the new annual fee on their November 2027 card statement.
