Beginning Sept. 8, 2026 for a limited time, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is offering a welcome bonus with an added perk:
New applicants can earn a one-time $300 stays credit toward hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel in their first cardholder year, plus 75,000 bonus miles once they spend $4,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening — that’s more than $1,000 in travel value.
Previously, this was the card’s offer: Earn a one-time bonus of 75,000 miles once you spend $4,000 on purchases within 3 months from account opening, equal to $750 in travel.
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card last offered a travel credit earlier this year, from January through April. At the time, new cardholders received a credit that was $50 lower, but could be applied more broadly to Capital One Travel purchases beyond just hotel and vacation rental bookings.
Despite having more limitations this time around, the travel credit alone can more than make up for the card’s $95 annual fee.
How the credit works
Until the benefit expires at the end of the first cardholder year, you can apply the entire credit toward one booking, or apply it in parts toward multiple bookings until you’ve used the full $300 amount.
What’s staying the same
The ongoing rewards rate will remain unchanged: 2 miles per dollar on purchases, and 5 miles per dollar on hotels, vacation rentals, and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.
Miles can be redeemed for travel by booking directly through Capital One or by transferring them to one of Capital One’s airline or hotel partners. You can also redeem them as statement credit toward various kinds of travel purchases made with your card.
