We believe everyone should be able to make financial decisions with
confidence. While we don't cover every company or financial product on
the market, we work hard to share a wide range of offers and objective
editorial perspectives.
So how do we make money? Our partners compensate us for advertisements that
appear on our site. This compensation helps us provide tools and services -
like free credit score access and monitoring. With the exception of
mortgage, home equity and other home-lending products or services, partner
compensation is one of several factors that may affect which products we
highlight and where they appear on our site. Other factors include your
credit profile, product availability and proprietary website methodologies.
However, these factors do not influence our editors' opinions or ratings, which are based on independent research and analysis. Our partners cannot

Outside of work, she loves fitness, and she competes in both powerlifting and weightlifting (she can deadlift more than triple bodyweight). Naturally, her travels always involve a fitness component, including a week of cycling up the coastline of Vietnam and a camping trip to the Arctic Circle, where she biked over the sea ice. Other adventures have included hiking 25 miles in one day through Italy's Cinque Terre and climbing the 1,260 steps to Tiger Cave Temple in Krabi, Thailand.

She has written about travel rewards and personal finance for FrugalTravelGuy, Fodor's, FlyerTalk, 10xTravel and Reward Expert. Her goal is to visit every country in the world by offsetting the cost with points and miles.
Giselle M. Cancio is a former editor for the travel rewards team at NerdWallet. She has traveled to over 30 states and 20 countries, redeeming points and miles for almost a decade. She has over eight years of experience in journalism and content development across many topics.
She has juggled many roles in her career: writer, editor, social media manager, producer, on-camera host, videographer and photographer. She has been published in several media outlets and was selected to report from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
She frequents national parks and is on her way to checking all 30 Major League Baseball parks off her list. When she's not on a plane or planning her next trip, she's crafting, reading, playing board games, watching sports or trying new recipes.
She is based in Miami.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the second busiest airport in the United States, serving over 88 million passengers annually. With its constant hustle, having access to a serene lounge can transform your travel experience. LAX only offers one traditional lounges for Priority Pass members: The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in the international terminal. However, it does require an extra fee for access.
Throughout the other terminals, there are only two other options. One is a mini spa with light spa services (including up to 30 minutes in a massage chair). The other is a gamer's paradise.
This guide highlights your Priority Pass options at LAX, ensuring you make the most of your membership. Whether you're looking for relaxation or entertainment, here’s everything you need to know about Priority Pass amenities at LAX.

The only lounge available to Priority Pass members is the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse on the third floor on the Tom Bradley International Terminal, but there's a catch. Priority Pass members have to use one of their lounge visits, plus pay a $35 per person top-up fee to enter. And frequently, the lounge won't even let Priority Pass members in, citing capacity constraints.
Assuming you can get in, that fee could be well worth it, though. The lounge has a gorgeous bar with an ombre design overhead. Travelers can order from the excellent menu of California and British-inspired food, as well as visit the Brasserie, a buffet section of snacks and small bites.
There is also a unique zen room and showers. Learn more about this lounge's amenities in our review of the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at LAX.

Most of these cards offer Priority Pass Select membership. The cost for guests beyond the free allowances that come with Priority Pass Select membership are $35 per person, per visit.
While LAX doesn’t have traditional Priority Pass lounges, it offers unique options like spa services and gaming lounges to elevate your pre-flight experience. For some, the experience might be better than chowing down on cheese cubes in a stereotypically crowded Priority Pass lounge anyway.
But for those who do seek an airport lounge experience, LAX has no shortage of them. Many even sell day passes, which can fill the void for Priority Pass members who are used to lounges but don't hate the elite status or first class seat that many lounges necessitate. Check out NerdWallet's guide to the best LAX lounges.
