Just in time for the holiday season, Chase is giving the gift of elevated points values toward some pricey merchandise.

From Oct. 15 to Nov. 15, 2020, holders of the issuer's Sapphire, Freedom and Ink cards will get more value for their points when they redeem them toward Apple products through the Chase Ultimate Rewards® portal.

Apple merchandise has been a redemption option for Chase points for a couple of years now, but normally points are worth a standard penny each when used that way. Here’s how much your points will be worth based on which eligible Chase card you have:

Sapphire cards

  • Chase Sapphire Reserve®: Points are worth 50% more when redeemed toward all eligible Apple products, a value of 1.5 cents per point.

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card: Points are worth 25% more when redeemed toward all eligible Apple products, a value of 1.25 cents per point.

  • Chase Sapphire (original version): Points are worth 20% more when redeemed toward Apple AirPods and 5% more when redeemed toward all other Apple products. That's a value of 1.2 cents per point when you redeem for AirPods and 1.05 cents per point when you redeem for other Apple products.

Freedom cards

For the Chase Freedom®, Chase Freedom Unlimited® and Chase Freedom Flex®, points are worth 20% more when you redeem them for AirPods only.

When redeemed toward all other eligible Apple products, points will be worth 5% more than their standard value.

Ink cards

Points will still be worth their standard rates when redeemed for cash back, travel, gift cards and more. And depending on what card you have, points may be worth more when redeemed for travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards® or transferred to Chase’s airline and hotel partners.
