5 Things to Know About the Fetch Credit Card

The card’s high rewards rates are tempered by limited redemption options and generally low point values.

Users of Fetch, the app that lets you turn receipts into rewards, can compound their pile of points with the Fetch American Express Card.

The credit card earns Fetch points, the same currency you earn whenever you upload a picture of your eligible receipts within the Fetch app. And it’s possible to get tons of points in a hurry thanks to the card’s high rewards rates. Unfortunately, Fetch points aren’t worth much, whether you rack them up with the credit card or by scanning receipts.

Still, given its fee profile and comparatively low credit score requirement, the Fetch card could be the right first rewards card for certain consumers.

Here’s what you need to know about the Fetch American Express Card, issued by First Electronic Bank and serviced by the fintech company Imprint, which manages the card’s rewards program.

1. Fees are minimal

The Fetch credit card doesn’t charge annual or foreign transaction fees — although since it runs on the American Express payment network, international acceptance won't always be a given.

It does charge a late payment fee, but its maximum of $20 is lower than some other cards, which can charge up to $41. Still, do what you can to pay your bill on time, to protect your credit scores.

2. Reward rates are high ...

Fetch cardholders may earn the following rewards:

  • 10x Fetch points on grocery and retail purchases. (“Retail” encompasses clothing stores, department stores, online marketplaces, drugstores, big box retailers, warehouse clubs and more.)

  •  5x Fetch points spent on all other purchases.

Certainly, the 10x rate on such a broad swath of everyday purchases is one of the most exciting features about the Fetch credit card. And occasionally, the card also offers a welcome bonus for hitting a certain amount of spending within a specific time period. (This offer may vary.)

Plus, cardholders may earn additional points through the Fetch VIP program, which is active as of October 2026. To be a VIP member, you must make at least one purchase with the Fetch card every 30 days and keep the account in good standing.

3. ... But point values are low

While the Fetch credit card’s rewards rates are high, the redemption value of those rewards is disappointingly low.

Point values vary depending on what you’re redeeming them for, but as an example, a $25 prepaid Visa card required 32,500 points when I checked the Fetch app. That means one Fetch point is worth a paltry 0.07 cent. The best rewards credit cards typically earn points worth at least one cent each.

Furthermore, redemption options are limited to gift cards, charitable donations, sweepstake entries and Fetch merchandise. Noticeably absent from this list: cash back in the form of a direct deposit or as statement credits.

If you're looking for a good credit card for groceries, consider a card like the $0-annual-fee Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card. It earns 3% cash back at grocery stores (not including Walmart and Target), among several other bonus categories. And while a 3% rate may not sound as impressive as 10x back, that 3% comes in the form of actual cash back, not points, which can be more valuable. For example, with the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card, a $200 grocery store run would net you $6 back in rewards. That same run with the Fetch card would snag you 2,000 points, worth only about $1.40.

4. The card accepts less-than-perfect credit

To qualify for the Fetch card, you'll need at least fair credit, which typically corresponds to credit scores from the mid-500s to low 600s. Many of the best rewards credit cards on the market require good to excellent credit, or scores from the mid-600s and up. So if you haven't reached that threshold yet, the Fetch credit card could still be fairly accessible to you.

Fetch also lets you see whether you’d be approved for the card before submitting an official application — not just your "odds" of approval, but a firm yes or no, with no initial hit to your credit scores. (Once you officially apply, your scores may dip temporarily, as is typical when your credit is pulled.)

5. The card can be used almost immediately

Those who are approved for the Fetch credit card may use it that same day. Once approved, you gain access to a virtual card in the Imprint app or on Imprint’s website. With your card’s information, you can make online purchases, or if you add the card to your digital wallet, you can use it anywhere that accepts mobile wallet payments.
