Aeroplan Credit Card
NerdWallet rating
The Aeroplan® Credit Card, Air Canada’s co-branded card, is increasing its welcome bonus for new applicants. Starting April 16, 2026, new holders of the Chase-issued card are eligible for the following: Earn 75,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open.
That's 15,000 more bonus points than the card’s previous welcome offer, but it has a higher spending requirement. (Previously, new applicants could earn 60,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in their first three months of account opening.)
The $95-annual-fee card’s other benefits remain the same. Cardholders can continue to earn the following rewards:
  • 3 points per dollar spent on purchases made directly with Air Canada.
  • 3 points per dollar spent on groceries and at restaurants (including takeout and eligible delivery services).
  • 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases.
  • 500 bonus points for every $2,000 spent in a month (up to a maximum of 1,500 points per month).
NerdWallet values Air Canada points at about 1.1 cents each, but the value can vary based on redemption options. Cardholders can redeem points for flights with Air Canada or one of its airline partners — which include those across the Star Alliance network — and for car rentals, hotels, Air Canada vacation packages, upgrades, merchandise and more.
