Your ‘Secret’ Ticket to Free Olympic Streaming May Be Your Travel Card
Free access to Peacock isn't typically advertised as a card benefit — but several travel cards offer it.

As a former competitive figure skater, I love to watch the world’s top athletes battle it out on the ice and snow, reaching speeds and heights that are impossible to achieve on “dry land.”
Someday, I hope to travel to watch the Olympics in person, but for now, I’m watching the streams on Peacock. If you don’t pay for cable television, streaming on Peacock is the most convenient and economical way to watch the Olympics on demand.
Plus, some of the most popular travel credit cards can make this streaming service free (at least for a few months) — even though Peacock access isn’t typically listed as a card benefit.
You can get free access to Peacock Premium with:
A Walmart+ membership. Walmart+ members can get a free Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium with ads subscription when they sign up through their Walmart+ account. This is a good option if you have the American Express Platinum Card®, which offers a $12.95 statement credit each month for a Walmart+ subscription. Terms apply. Enrollment required.
An Instacart+ membership. Similarly, Instacart+ members can also get a free Peacock Premium with ads subscription. Several Chase co-branded credit cards, including the Marriott Bonvoy cards, Southwest cards, IHG cards, World of Hyatt cards and Disney cards, offer three months of complimentary Instacart+ membership through Dec. 31, 2027. Eligible Mastercards, like the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard®, also offer a complimentary three-month trial of Instacart+ through Jan. 31, 2027.
The Winter Olympics are slated to run through Feb. 22, 2026, so there’s still time to enroll in Walmart+ or Instacart+ to get a free Peacock Premium subscription. Just don’t forget to cancel if you don’t want to pay for it after your free trial.
