If you’re headed to the desert for Coachella fun, don’t leave your AmEx credit card at home. American Express has partnered with the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival for the seventh year, bringing a bundle of benefits for eligible credit card holders.

The right card could grant you access to AmEx’s immersive experience, a statement credit, exclusive mystery merchandise and complimentary glam services. To access these on-site benefits, you can download the Coachella app and tap the AmEx icon to register as a cardholder. Terms apply.

Here’s a deeper look at the benefits for the 2024 festival, which spans two weekends: April 12 to 14, and April 19 to 21.

1. A $10 statement credit

You can defray the cost of a drink, snack, merchandise or other eligible purchases with AmEx’s one-time $10 statement credit. You’ll qualify for it when you use an enrolled eligible AmEx credit card to make purchases of $100 or more with participating on-site merchants. An AmEx card may be enrolled through AmEx's website, the official Coachella app or by visiting any AmEx location on-site at the Coachella festival grounds.

Prepaid credit cards, corporate cards and AmEx cards issued by other financial institutions won’t qualify. Only one card may be enrolled across all AmEx offer channels.

Terms apply.

2. Immersive experiences

At the AmEx Experience space at Coachella, you and up to three friends can visit four immersive rooms where you’ll have access to the following options:

  • A winter wonderland inspired by "Snow Angel," an album from festival performer Reneé Rapp. You can also get a festival fortune after taking a quiz.

  • A retro snack bar that will offer alcohol-free drinks, among other items.

  • A night market featuring wares from small businesses like RagzRevenge, HART Jewelry and Barrière.

  • A cave-like room where you can decompress and unwind before returning to the festival.

Friends don't have to be AmEx cardholders to join you, but they must enroll through the Coachella app to tag along. The AmEx Experience will be open from noon to 8 p.m. each day of the festival. Space will be limited and subject to capacity.

Terms apply.

3. Exclusive merchandise for purchase

You can visit AmEx’s Merch To-Go Window to purchase a mystery box of artist merchandise — including items like shirts, totes, hats, etc. — featuring festival performers Rapp and Tyler, the Creator, along with official Coachella merchandise.

In addition, eligible AmEx cardholders will also be able to purchase items from Tyler, the Creator at the Coachella Artist Merch Tent and GOLF WANG pop-up merch tent. Both tents will have a checkout lane devoted to AmEx cardholders.

As a cardholder, you can also speed more quickly through AmEx’s dedicated lane for general merchandise to make a purchase.

Terms apply.

4. Complimentary glam services

This year, AmEx’s “get ready with me” pop-up at the campgrounds will offer complimentary services in partnership with In Your Dreams, a boutique beauty agency. Services will include light enhancements and accessories like body glam and hair bow stacking — a trend that uses several bows to complete a look. Only one friend can tag along for this benefit when they enroll through Coachella’s app.
