“We understand that our cardmembers’ priorities have shifted over the past few months, so we’re excited to offer timely categories that provide value for customers during this difficult time,” said BJ Mahoney, general manager of Chase Freedom®.
Amazon.com hasn't been a featured 5% bonus category for the Chase Freedom® since 2015. Per Chase, qualifying Amazon.com purchases this quarter also include Amazon.com Prime subscriptions, gift cards, digital downloads, Amazon.com Fresh orders and items sold by third-party merchants via Amazon.
The Whole Foods Market 5% bonus will also apply to purchases made at U.S. Whole Foods 365 stores and online at wholefoodsmarket.com. It won't, however, apply to Whole Foods purchases you make through third-party delivery services such as Instacart, Shipt, etc., nor will it apply to online purchases of gift cards redeemable at Whole Foods.
