Heading out for a much-needed vacation this summer? One of the two IHG co-branded credit cards has a bigger limited-time bonus offer that might appeal to loyalists of the hotel brand.
As of May 27, 2021, the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card is increasing its sign-up bonus for new cardholders. Additionally, the card’s annual fee is being waived for the first year.
New applicants will be eligible for the following offers:
New bonus offer: Earn 150,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening. This new bonus is a 25,000-point boost from what the card previously offered, for the same amount of spending.
New annual fee: $0 intro for the first year, then $89. The card previously charged the full annual fee in the first year.

Rewards offered by the Chase-issued card will remain unchanged:
Earn up to 25 points per $1 spent at IHG hotels. This includes 10 points for paying with the card, 10 points from IHG’s loyalty program and 5 points for Platinum Elite status.
Earn 2 points per $1 spent at gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants, and 1 point per $1 on all other spending.
Plus, cardholders will get a free night after each account anniversary year, up to 40,000 points, at any eligible IHG hotel.
The IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card also offers another unique perk: a fourth night free. When you book four or more consecutive rewards nights at the same property, you’ll be charged the point redemption rate for the first three nights, then zero points for the fourth night.
How you can use IHG points
Whether you're traveling with family on a budget or looking for a luxurious splurge, IHG offers a wide variety of hotels. The IHG family of properties includes Holiday Inn, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Kimpton, EVEN Hotels and Hotel Indigo.
Points can be redeemed at nearly 6,000 IHG hotels and resorts worldwide. You can also redeem points for gift cards, member-only experiences or e-books, donate them or transfer them to airline partners (but they won't be worth as much that way). NerdWallet values IHG points at 0.5 cent each.
