Some of the top airlines sell more than just flight tickets — they also sell vacation packages. JetBlue is one U.S.-based airline that offers these types of package deals, known as JetBlue Vacations.
JetBlue vacation packages make it easier for travelers to book their flights and hotel at the same time, and in many cases, you may even get a better deal on the whole trip. Here’s what you need to know about JetBlue Vacations.
How JetBlue Vacations work
JetBlue Vacations are bundled airline tickets and accommodation bookings. You can book a JetBlue Vacations package by going to jetbluevacations.com, or jetblue.com and clicking the JetBlue Vacations logo from the top of the page.
You can also book a package by phone at 1-844-JB-VACAY (528-2229). JetBlue does not charge an extra fee for booking a package over the phone. Currently, you cannot book a package on the JetBlue app.
When booking online, travelers can search for destinations and dates to see what flight and hotel options are available. After searching, options and price points are presented for booking, along with the TrueBlue earning potential for each package option.
What are JetBlue Vacation Deals?
JetBlue Vacations has a deals section where travelers can take advantage of special promotions and offers that are valid for select destinations and dates. Booking trips via this portal can be an good way to save money.
JetBlue Vacations car rentals
When you make a flight and hotel booking, you’ll also be given the option to add a rental car to your vacation package with car rental options from Avis and Budget. The second-driver fee is waived when booking a car rental through JetBlue Vacations, but age restrictions and renter requirements may still apply.
After verifying vacation package details, you can book and make a payment. You also will have an option to hold it until the end of the day (11 p.m. ET) by paying a $25 nonrefundable deposit. When you use this feature, you’ll have to call JetBlue to finalize the booking.

Can you use JetBlue points for JetBlue Vacations?
Yes, you can pay for your JetBlue Vacations package with TrueBlue points. To take advantage of this option, when you start searching, be sure to check “Use TrueBlue Points” box.
You will then see a list of packages showing the total price in points + the cash component. To get started, you’ll want to select the “Choose this Deal” option.
On the next page, after you select the room type and the flight you want, you’ll be taken to the checkout page. At this step, if you haven’t logged in, you will need to sign into your JetBlue account.
When you’re on the checkout page, you’ll see a sliding scale that allows you to select how many TrueBlue points you’d like to use for your trip. If you have the full amount of the points, you can apply it to the entire purchase. But if you only have a portion of the required JetBlue points available, you can use a combination of cash and points.
Keep in mind that although it is more convenient to book a package with everything included, booking a flight and hotel separately (whether using points or cash) could be cheaper. If you don’t mind the extra effort required to comparison shop, you might want to take a look at what the flight and hotel will cost in points or in cash before purchasing a package.
When redeeming TrueBlue points for JetBlue Vacation purchases, no additional TrueBlue points will be earned.
Other ways to pay for a JetBlue Vacations package
Besides using TrueBlue points, you have several options when paying for a JetBlue Vacations package, including using a debit or credit card or making a deposit.
Use a JetBlue credit card
Other ways to pay include using a JetBlue credit card such as the JetBlue Card or JetBlue Plus Card, which can allow you to earn additional points on your purchase. Cardmembers can earn 3 points per $1 spent on eligible JetBlue purchases with the JetBlue Card and 6 points per $1 on the JetBlue Plus Card.
JetBlue points are worth 1.5 cents each, so if you purchase a $2,000 package using your JetBlue Plus Card, you’d earn 12,000 TrueBlue points, which is equivalent to $180.
Upfront deposit
Another option is to make a $200 nonrefundable deposit per person, then pay in full 30 days before departure for domestic trips or 45 days before departure for international trips. This option allows travelers a chance to spread out the cost of a bigger trip.

JetBlue Vacations cancellation policy
If you need to change or cancel a JetBlue Vacations package, you can do so by calling 1-844-JB-VACAY (528-2229). JetBlue won’t charge a cancellation fee, but the hotel might, so you need to check the policy stated for your specific package.
Any changes need to be made at least one day prior to the departure date. In addition, if you change the date or the number of occupants and there is a price increase, you will be responsible for paying the additional costs.
Are JetBlue vacations refundable?
Just because you can cancel a JetBlue Vacation package, doesn’t mean you'll get your money back. Unfortunately, JetBlue Vacation packages are nonrefundable.
