Delta SkyMiles Cards Unveil Enhanced Bonuses, Perks, Designs

Delta and American Express are treating Delta SkyMiles members with upgraded credit card benefits, as part of the airline and issuer’s 30th anniversary partnership celebration.
Starting June 4, 2026, eligible Delta SkyMiles cardholders will receive limited-time welcome offers, enhanced travel perks and updated card design options.

Limited-time welcome offers
When they apply and are approved by July 15, 2026, new applicants of the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card, Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card are eligible for the following welcome offers:
- Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card: Earn 70,000 bonus miles after you spend $3,000 in eligible purchases on your new Card in your first six months of Card Membership, plus an additional 20,000 bonus miles after you spend an additional $2,000 in purchases on your Card in the first six months of Card Membership. Terms apply; see rates and fees. The card typically offers 80,000 bonus miles.
- Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card: Earn 80,000 bonus miles after you spend $4,000 in purchases on your Card in the first six months of Card Membership, plus an additional 20,000 bonus miles after you spend an additional $2,000 in purchases on your Card in the first six months of Card Membership. Terms apply; see rates and fees. New applicants are typically eligible for as high as 90,000 bonus miles.
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card: Earn 100,000 bonus miles after you spend $6,000 in purchases on your Card in the first six months of Card Membership, plus an additional 25,000 bonus miles after you spend an additional $3,000 in purchases on your Card in the first six months of Card Membership. Terms apply; see rates and fees. This new offer can get new cardholders up to 25,000 more bonus miles than the card’s previous offer did.
New and updated ongoing benefits
- Complimentary second checked bag: Holders of the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card, Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card will receive baggage waivers on the first and second checked bag on domestic Delta or Delta Connection flights. Previously, cardholders received only one complimentary first checked bag. Note that this applies to both consumer and business versions of these cards. Terms apply.
- Rideshare credit: Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express Card holders are eligible for a $120 annual rideshare credit (on eligible U.S. rideshare purchases with eligible providers) after they renew their card each year. This credit will be distributed in $10 monthly statements. Enrollment required. Terms apply.
- Delta Vacations Companion Certificate redemption: Eligible cardholders can now apply their yearly companion certificates for the flight portion of a booked Delta Vacations package. Previously, cardholders could use their certificates only on flights booked separately and not included in an all-in-one vacation package through the airline. Note that holders of the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card receive an annual companion certificate when they renew their card membership every year.
