Disney theme parks set the standard for amusement park quality. They also set the standard for pricing. Disney tickets are not cheap.
Since Disney raised prices in October 2025, single-day tickets range from $104 to $224 at Disneyland (depending on the day) and $119 to $209 at Walt Disney World. That's without Park Hopper or Lightning Lane add-ons.

The good news: You don't have to pay full price. Here are the best ways to save on Disney tickets.
There's no shortage of discounted Disney ticket websites willing to sell you tickets. Just make sure you shop with one that's reputable. Here are a couple that NerdWallet recommends:
Buy discount Disney tickets through Undercover Tourist
Undercover Tourist is one of the most popular, reputable websites, offering a cheaper way to buy Disney tickets — no membership needed.
🤓Nerdy Tip
After Disney price increases (which typically happen in October), authorized resellers like Undercover Tourist may still have tickets at pre-increase prices for a short window. It's worth checking immediately after price hikes.
There's a 365-day cancellation window; Undercover Tourist will refund 95% of the total, with some exceptions.

Buy discount Disney tickets through AAA
AAA, the famous association that offers benefits on everything from hotel stays to restaurants, also sells discounted Disney tickets to members in certain locations.
AAA membership isn’t free, but it can be worth signing up for AAA for the other AAA discounts. Discounts vary by region, so confirm your region does in fact offer discount Disney tickets before signing up.
The Disney® Inspire Visa® Card ($149 annual fee) offers a multitude of perks, including an $100 statement credit after you spend $200 on U.S. Disney theme park tickets per anniversary year. You'll also earn 3% back in Disney Rewards Dollars on those ticket purchases.
NerdWallet's ratings are determined by our editorial team. The scoring formula takes into account the type of card being reviewed (such as cash back, travel or balance transfer) and the card's rates, fees, rewards and other features.
The math: A family of four buying $800 in park tickets gets:
$100 statement credit.
$24 in Disney Rewards Dollars (3% back).
Total value: $124.
That's more than enough to cover the card's $149 annual fee — and that's before factoring in the card's other benefits like 200 Disney Rewards Dollars after spending $2,000 on resort stays or cruises.
A few important notes:
The statement credit only works for tickets purchased directly from Disney (not third-party sites).
It only covers U.S. parks (e.g. Disneyland and Walt Disney World) but not international Disney parks.

Use the Target Circle™ Credit Card, which has a $0 annual fee, to buy Disney gift cards. You can buy Disney gift cards at Target and get a 5% off the purchase price at checkout for paying for your card. Yep, the card offers 5% off most Target purchases both in-store and online, and that extends to Disney gift cards.
This strategy effectively reduces the cost of your Disney tickets (and again, anything else you buy at Disney using those gift cards, like food or souvenirs) by 5%.
4. Take advantage of Disney's limited-time ticket deals

If you can be flexible with the day you go to Disney, you can save big. Disney tickets always follow a dynamic pricing model, where tickets on more in-demand days are more expensive than those in the off-season. Generally speaking, you'll pay far more to go to Disneyland on Christmas Day than a random Tuesday in early December.
And what's more, Disney sometimes runs its own ticket promotions — which almost always occur during off-season or shoulder season. Here are the best Disney ticket deals that come straight from Disney:
Disneyland ticket deals
Kids’ ticket discount
For visits between May 22 and September 7, 2026, children ages 3–9 can purchase Park Hopper tickets starting at $50 per child for a one-day ticket — compared to the standard starting price of $189 on those dates. Multi-day options are also available: a 2-day ticket runs $100 and a 3-day ticket runs $150, both valid on nonconsecutive days within the promotional window. Multi-day tickets expire 13 days after first use or on September 7, whichever comes first.
Park reservations are required, and reservations for these discounted tickets are allocated separately from regular tickets — meaning a date showing availability for standard tickets may be fully booked for Kids' Summer Ticket holders. Check reservation availability before purchasing, and book as early as possible.
For families planning multiple visits throughout the year, the Magic Key annual pass is also worth considering. The new Explore Key tier ($999) offers access to select summer dates, and can pay for itself in as few as six visits.
California resident discount
If you live in California (ZIP codes 90000-96199), you can save more than 50% on multiday tickets for visits from Jan. 1 to May 21, 2026. Tickets go on sale Dec. 3, 2025. Here are the deals:
Three-day Park Hopper: Starting at $249 ($83 per day).
Three-day Park Hopper with Lightning Lane Multi Pass: Starting at $351 ($117 per day).
You'll need a valid government-issued photo ID showing your California address to enter the park using one of these tickets. These tickets expire May 21, 2026, and — unlike other multiday tickets that must be used in a tight window — these can be used on nonconsecutive days during the promotional period.
This deal is also more generous than what we've seen in the past. In 2025, Disneyland offered a similar promotion, but it was limited to Southern California residents.
Early 2026 (Stays from Jan. 1 to May 21): Save up to 25% on stays of three nights or more. Book between Dec. 3, 2025, and May 7, 2026.
Summer 2026 (Stays from May 22 to Sept. 7): Save up to 25% on stays of four nights or more. Book between Jan. 21, 2026, and Aug. 25, 2026.
These offers apply to most room types except some concierge rooms and suites.
Magic Key passes
Consider purchasing an annual pass (called a Magic Key). These annual passes start at $599, and can be cheaper than buying Park Hopper theme park admission on multiple days throughout the year. It also offers discounts on select parking, dining and merchandise. Be sure to check the blackout dates before you buy.
If you're booking a ticket package that includes a hotel stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel for a 2026 vacation, this might be incentive to add on the Disney Dining Plan, which is a prepaid meal program covering food and snacks during your stay.
Free dining plan for adults (book by April 30, 2026)
Book a 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney World Travel Company package at a select Disney Resorts Collection hotel with a Park Hopper ticket, and get a free dining plan for arrivals on select nights:
June 28–Oct. 3, 2026.
Oct. 19–31, 2026.
Dec. 6–21, 2026.
The dining plan included depends on your hotel tier: Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort guests get the Disney Dining Plan, while Moderate and Value Resort guests get the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. Gratuities are not included. This offer cannot be combined with other discounts, but can be combined with the 2026 Kids Dining Plan offer. You must book by April 30, 2026.
Free water park admission

Guests who book a qualifying stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel for arrivals from May 26 to Sept. 8, 2026 receive complimentary tickets to either Disney water park — Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon — on their check-in day (about $80 value per person).
4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket starting at $109/day
For summer visits between May 26 and September 26, 2026, Disney is offering a 4-day ticket covering one admission to each of the four parks — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom — starting at $109 per day ($436 total plus tax). No park reservation is required for this ticket, which is a meaningful convenience perk.
The ticket must be used within 7 days of the selected start date, and you can't visit the same park twice. Adding the Water Park and Sports option costs $60 more per ticket.
Save up to 30% on rooms in late summer and early fall
For most arrivals from July 30 to October 3, 2026:
Save up to 30% on stays of 5 or more consecutive nights.
Save up to 25% on stays of 1–4 consecutive nights.
Savings vary by resort category. Rooms are limited, advance reservations required. This offer can be combined with the 2026 Kids Dining Plan offer but not other discounts. Excludes 3-bedroom villas, suites, bungalows, penthouses and Copper Creek cabins.
Military discounts
Eligible active and retired U.S. military members (including National Guard, Reservists, Coast Guard, Space Force, and commissioned corps of PHS and NOAA) can purchase discounted tickets through Dec. 18, 2026, with blockout dates March 29–April 11 and Nov. 22–28:
4-Day Park Hopper: $409 plus tax.
5-Day Park Hopper: $429 plus tax.
6-Day Park Hopper: $449 plus tax.
Disney Celebrates America ticket (visit through Dec. 18): $499 plus tax.
Up to 6 tickets per eligible service member or spouse. Purchase through participating military base ticket offices. Memory Maker is also available for $98 (versus the standard $199).

Vacation packages bundle tickets, hotels, and sometimes airfare or car rentals for less than buying separately.
As mentioned above, Walt Disney World is running exceptional package deals for 2026 that can save families hundreds to thousands of dollars by combining room discounts with free kids' dining.
🤓Nerdy Tip
Save money on your vacation by using points to book your hotel. Many vacation packages also code as travel on your card. Maximize points earning by paying with a credit card that earns additional bonus points on travel.
Costco Travel requires a membership card (which is its own annual fee), but it offers some of the best Disney vacation packages. For example, we found one five-day vacation at a Hilton, including five-day park hopper tickets, for $2,008.56. We priced out the cost to book that exact same hotel and tickets separately. It came out to $2,811.53 — and that didn't include the parking. In this case, you’d save more than $800 by bundling your hotel and tickets together into a vacation package.
The United MileagePlus X app awards you bonus miles for purchases with hundreds of different retailers, including Disney.
The United MileagePlus X app awards 3 United miles per dollar when you buy Disney gift cards through the app (up to $500 per transaction). You'll also earn credit card rewards on the purchase.
And of course, you don't have to limit yourself to just buying Disney tickets. You can also use this trick to buy Disney gift cards that will cover food, souvenirs and other expenses on property.
Just understand that gift cards cannot be exchanged back for cash, so only purchase enough gift cards for what you'll actually spend. And keep in mind that certain retailers on Disney property might not accept Disney gift cards (e.g. third-party retailers on site, or certain vendors that operate in unconventional locations such as balloon vendors).
7. Get free water park tickets when you book select Walt Disney World hotels
We said that free Disney tickets were near-impossible to come by, but here's one exception: you can get free Walt Disney World water park tickets (with limitations, of course). Here's the scoop:
Guests who book a qualifying stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel for stays with check-in dates in summer 2026 receive complimentary tickets to either of the two Disney water parks — Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon.

Since Disney water park tickets cost about $80 per person, families or groups who would have purchased water park admission anyway might find this an incredible deal, particularly if they can book at one of the cheapest eligible Disney World hotels.
Just note that this benefit only works on your check-in day, so don't anticipate spending time in the traditional theme parks on that day. Additionally, check-in to your hotel early to maximize the deal's value.
Disney often offers special offers for locals, as well as for people with affiliations such as U.S. military personnel.
Disney considers eligible service members as those in the the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
Also check any other affiliates you have such as alumni groups or corporate discount portals.
Tricks for finding cheap Disney tickets

There’s no bones about it: Disney tickets can be expensive. You could consider some cheaper Disney alternatives, but there are also plenty of ways to save on the cost of your vacation. For example, you might opt for just Animal Kingdom, which is the cheapest Walt Disney World park (tickets are typically 10% to 17% cheaper than Magic Kingdom tickets, which are typically the most expensive).
You might also consider an annual pass, (which Disneyland refers to as a Magic Key and which Walt Disney World simply refers to as an annual pass), if you visit often.
Whether you’re bundling together with a vacation package, purchasing discounted tickets or maximizing the amount of points you’ll earn, make sure you’re working out the best method for your situation.
