When you participate in JetBlue TrueBlue, the airline's loyalty program, you earn points toward future flights and progress toward earning JetBlue Mosaic elite status.

Earning Mosaic status allows you to unlock money-saving benefits ranging from free flight changes to complimentary in-flight drinks, more points on flights and the ability to upgrade to the airline’s Mint business class cabin on select flights — a key benefit to consider if you're eyeing one of JetBlue's transatlantic routes.

Plus, with JetBlue's new partnership with United Airlines, Mosaics have even more benefits to look forward to starting in 2026.

Here are the requirements and benefits of earning JetBlue Mosaic elite status.

What is JetBlue Mosaic?

Mosaic is the name of elite status in JetBlue’s TrueBlue program. The program offers four elite status tiers: Mosaic 1, Mosaic 2, Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4.

Qualifying for even the lowest level of elite status, Mosaic 1, will earn you a host of perks like a free checked bag, early boarding and access to EvenMore seats, offering extra legroom, free alcoholic drinks and a premium snack. As you reach higher Mosaic tiers, you'll unlock even more benefits.

How to get JetBlue Mosaic elite status

You earn JetBlue Mosaic status based on how many "tiles" you accumulate in a calendar year.

As a TrueBlue member, you can earn tiles based on flying with JetBlue and spending on the airline’s co-branded credit cards.

You’ll earn one tile per $100 spent with JetBlue (that includes JetBlue Vacations, TrueBlue Travel, JetBlue fees and JetBlue add-ons). Starting Feb. 1, 2026, tiles earned by kids 12 and under can count toward a parent’s status.

As a JetBlue credit cardholder, you’ll also earn one tile per $1,000 spent on your card.

Here’s what it takes to reach each tier of Mosaic elite status:

  • Mosaic 1: Earn 50 tiles.

  • Mosaic 2: Earn 100 tiles.

  • Mosaic 3: Earn 150 tiles.

  • Mosaic 4: Earn 250 tiles.

Once you earn Mosaic status, your status is valid through the remainder of the year in which you earned it, the entire following year and the January after that. If you earned Mosaic status in February 2026, you would have status through January 31, 2028.

Mosaic tiles vs. TrueBlue points

Mosaic tiles are different from TrueBlue points. Tiles are JetBlue's metric for determining Mosaic elite status. As you earn more tiles, you'll also unlock the ability to select additional perks to enhance your JetBlue travel experience — even before you reach any level of Mosaic status. The number of tiles you have resets at the beginning of every calendar year.

TrueBlue points, on the other hand, can be redeemed for future travel. You can earn TrueBlue points by flying on JetBlue or a partner airline, purchasing a JetBlue Vacations package, making purchases on a qualifying JetBlue credit card and several other ways. TrueBlue points never expire.

JetBlue Mosaic benefits

JetBlue has two main types of perks as part of its Mosaic status program, including “Signature Perks” awarded to all Mosaic members (or members of a specific tier) and “Mosaic Perks You Pick.” The Perks You Pick program offers eligible elite members a menu of benefits to choose from each time they qualify for a new tier.

Standard Perks

All JetBlue Mosaic elites have access to these perks, regardless of their tier:

  • Free checked bags: The first two checked bags are free for you and up to seven people on your itinerary (excess, oversized and/or overweight baggage fees will still apply). You also get a free carry-on and personal item. (Starting Feb. 1, 2026, Mosaic 1 members only get 1 free checked bag.)

  • Free same-day flight changes: You and your traveling companions on the same itinerary can switch flights for free within 24 hours of your originally scheduled departure (unless traveling on a Blue Basic fare).

  • EvenMore seat upgrades: Beginning 24 hours before departure, you can upgrade to EvenMore seats for free (unless traveling in Blue Basic).

  • Priority security: At some airports, you have access to an expedited lane at security checkpoints.

  • Priority boarding: You can board the plane early using a dedicated boarding lane.

  • Priority check-in: You can access the dedicated Mosaic desk at the airport when you check in.

  • Mosaic customer service: You have access to a dedicated customer service line available 24/7.

  • Free alcoholic drinks: You get complimentary alcoholic beverages onboard when seated in standard economy (limited to one, starting Feb. 1, 2026).

  • Enhanced points earning: Earn up to 9 points per $1 on flights. You earn 3 points per $1 on all JetBlue flights, an additional 3 points per $1 if you book through the JetBlue website or app, and an additional 3 points per $1 for holding Mosaic status. If you book flights in Blue Basic, you will earn 1 point per $1 and an additional 1 point per $1 if you book on JetBlue’s website or app, but your Mosaic elite bonus stays the same.

    • Starting Feb. 1, 2026, Mosaic 3 members will earn 4 points per $1 for their status (for 10 points per $1 total). Mosaic 4 will earn 5 points per $1 (for 11 points per $1 total).

  • Avis status match: Get status in the Avis Preferred program, earning car upgrades and expedited service, plus faster points accruals toward a free rental day, depending on the tier.

When you qualify for higher Mosaic tiers, you'll unlock these additional benefits:

  • Earlier EvenMore seat upgrades: Once you earn Mosaic 2, you'll be able to select an EvenMore seat at time of booking (excluding Blue Basic fares).

  • Enhanced customer service: Mosaic 3 and 4 members have access to dedicated priority phone support.

  • Move to Mint certificates: Mosaic 3 and 4 members receive Move to Mint certificates, allowing them to upgrade to JetBlue's Mint at no extra charge, pending availability (excluding Blue Basic fares). You earn four certificates upon reaching Mosaic 3, and an additional two (four, starting Feb. 1, 2026) when you earn Mosaic 4 status. Earn more for every 100 tiles you accumulate after reaching 250 tiles.

  • Gift Mosaic 1 status: Mosaic 4s can give Mosaic 1 status to a TrueBlue member of their choice.

You also get additional benefits in JetBlue’s other branches, including TrueBlue Travel and JetBlue Vacations. For example, if you make a car rental from Avis or Budget through JetBlue’s sibling website, TrueBlue Travel, Mosaic members earn 200 points per rental day, up to five days (rather than the 100 points that all other TrueBlue members earn).

Mosaic Perks You Pick

In addition to standard perks, Mosaic elites get to choose an additional perk to add to their roster of benefits when they first reach Mosaic 1 status and each time they level up to a higher tier. Perks You Pick include:

  • Priority access to Mint Suites on select aircraft, pending availability (excluding Mint Studio).

  • FoundersCard Blue membership.

  • Pet fee waiver (normally $125 per flight).

  • Get a bonus 20 tiles to boost your earnings toward the next status tier.

  • Gift a 20-tile bonus to another member.

  • Get a bonus of 15,000 TrueBlue points.

  • Receive a one-time $99 statement credit on select JetBlue credit cards.

Receive Mosaic perks when flying with United Airlines

Through the airlines' Blue Sky partnership, TrueBlue members can earn and redeem their points when flying on United. All members earn 5 TrueBlue points per dollar spent on United tickets (excluding government taxes and fees), and Mosaic elites earn an additional 3 points per dollar.

The airlines are also expected to roll out reciprocal elite status recognition in early 2026. That means Mosaic members will have access to some of their elite benefits when traveling with United, such as priority boarding, extra legroom seating, and same-day standby and changes. (United MileagePlus members will also have access to their elite benefits when flying with JetBlue.)

Perks for TrueBlue members

One of the biggest upsides to the TrueBlue loyalty program is that members can earn perks even before reaching the first tier of Mosaic status.

Each time you hit the 10, 20, 30 and 40 tile threshold, you can select one of the following perks:

  • Early boarding with Group B (excluding Blue Basic fares).

  • Priority security lanes at select airports.

  • One free in-flight alcoholic drink.

  • Earn double points on a JetBlue Vacations package (valid only on one purchase).

  • 5,000 TrueBlue bonus points.

Final thoughts on JetBlue Mosaic

Compared to other airlines, JetBlue’s TrueBlue Mosaic elite status is pretty straightforward, featuring a relatively simple tiered earning structure. It's a solid program that offers valuable benefits for those who fly with the airline often and want to get the most out of every trip.

Free checked baggage alone could save hundreds a year, but maybe the most alluring benefit for fans of award travel is the extra points Mosaic members earn for every flight they book. For those loyal to the airline, Mosaic is worth the effort to achieve.
