So how do we make money? Our partners compensate us for advertisements that
appear on our site. This compensation helps us provide tools and services -
like free credit score access and monitoring. With the exception of
mortgage, home equity and other home-lending products or services, partner
compensation is one of several factors that may affect which products we
highlight and where they appear on our site. Other factors include your
credit profile, product availability and proprietary website methodologies.
However, these factors do not influence our editors' opinions or ratings, which are based on independent research and analysis. Our partners cannot

Members of certain airline loyalty programs can save at least $60 on CLEAR+ memberships, which allows travelers to speed through airport security. United MileagePlus, Delta SkyMiles and Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards all offer discounts on CLEAR+ membership to their members, and the savings increase for higher levels of elite status.
Since it’s free to join airline loyalty programs, there’s almost no reason to pay full price for CLEAR+.
The CLEAR+ membership allows passengers to skip the ID check and use dedicated lanes to verify their identity at Clear kiosks with facial recognition technology and fingerprint scanning.
This is separate from TSA PreCheck, which expedites the physical screening process. Travelers with TSA PreCheck don’t have to take laptops or liquids out of their bags and can keep their belts on. The services are complementary; they don't overlap.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to get a discount on CLEAR+ membership with a frequent flyer membership, elite status or travel credit cards.

CLEAR+ discount for United, Delta and Atmos members
The three airline rewards programs offer similar discounts to members. Every member is eligible to receive a discount in some capacity — though discounts get bigger the higher the level of elite status you hold. Some also offer bigger savings when you hold an airline credit card (and some cover the cost entirely).
Cost of CLEAR+ membership for United, Delta and Atmos members
If you're an entry-level member of these loyalty programs, you get a $10 discount, making the price $199 a year. Depending on what program you're a part of and your status level, you may get a further discount.
For example, Delta and United elites get a discount of at least $40 off, or $169 per year. Delta AmEx card and United credit cardholders also receive this discount.
Those with Atmos Rewards elite status don't get an additional discount; however, they can earn 1,500 Atmos points when they enroll and 1,250 points when they renew or reinstate their membership at the $199 rate.
Delta Diamond and 360 elites get CLEAR+ for free. United Premier 1Ks get an $80 discount — or $129 a year — while Global Services members get it for free.
Existing CLEAR+ members can get the discount on their next renewal by adding their MileagePlus, SkyMiles or Atmos Rewards number to their CLEAR accounts. These discounts apply only to U.S.-based members.

How to get the offer
Enroll in CLEAR+ before your trip using this link for United or this link for Delta.
Finish your enrollment by visiting a CLEAR location, where a representative will help capture your eyes and fingerprints. It should only take about five minutes, and you don’t need an appointment.
Start using the dedicated lanes at the airport. Data such as eyes or fingerprints will confirm your identity. Then keep moving to the luggage screening and body scan.

If you want to skip both the identity verification and the physical screening, you’ll need CLEAR+ and either TSA PreCheck or Global Entry. While Delta and United have similar discounts for CLEAR+, United has a slight advantage credit card-wise. The United℠ Explorer Card already comes with a $120 TSA PreCheck or Global Entry fee credit, so cardholders could get both and save a total of $140.

This type of perk makes airport travel more convenient and faster, but it’s probably worth purchasing the CLEAR+ membership only if you’re a frequent traveler who consistently flies out of participating airports.
