GM’s Flexible Earnings Card is unbeatable if you plan on buying a GM car in the next few years. Otherwise, it’s very mediocre.
3% on new GM vehicles, 1% Otherwise
You get 3% rewards if you redeem towards a new GM Vehicle, and 1% cash back if you redeem for cash. There are at least 30 better options under our rewards search page if you plan on redeeming for cash.
Eligibility limited to certain cars

Earn unlimited rewards, sort of
While 1% cash redemption is unlimited, GM limits how much you can redeem for particular vehicles.
Limits on redemptions seem to have little to do with the car price. GM allows you to redeem up to $1,000 for a Corvette, but up to $3,000 for a minivan. Clearly GM must be making a much higher profit margin off of minivans…
Either way, make sure you don’t “over-earn” points for your target car. It only takes $33,333 in spending to max out your Corvette limit of $1,000.
