The Bay Area News Group has named NerdWallet a winner of the Bay Area’s 2016 Top Workplaces award.
We’re thrilled to be included, for the second year in a row, in the Top Workplaces list for medium-sized companies in the Bay Area. Of course, we (as Nerds) love working at NerdWallet, and being recognized for our Nerdy culture is an honor.
Companies were chosen as a result of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics. It measures several aspects of workplace culture that are voted on by each company’s own employees — in our case, our Nerds.
At NerdWallet, there is lots to be said about our Nerdy culture as we tackle the personal finance space. Nerds live a nerdy life here; our conference rooms are named after famous nerds, one of our core values is “relentless self-improvement” and we voluntarily participate in brown-bag sessions to learn more about nerdy topics and life skills.
We couple our nerdy interests with a collaborative bunch of passionate and intelligent people working together in a mission-driven culture. Along with tackling our mission of providing clarity for all of life’s financial decisions, Nerds can be found gathering in our SoMa headquarters for on-site happy hours and volunteer excursions in the surrounding neighborhood.
Nerds are proud to be Nerds, and are passionate about providing consumers with expert, honest and objective personal finance advice. Having our Nerdy culture highlighted by the Bay Area News Group’s Top Workplaces list this year means even more people can see what makes NerdWallet’s culture especially Nerdy!
