American Express Boosts Bonus Offers on Blue Cash Credit Cards

Here's some good news for folks with big grocery bills: American Express is boosting the bonus offers on its popular Blue Cash consumer credit cards, which offer outstanding rewards at U.S. supermarkets. In addition, for a limited time, AmEx is waiving the first year's annual fee on the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express.

Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express
Bonus offer as of Oct. 8, 2020: Limited Time Offer: Earn a $300 statement credit after you spend $3,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 6 months. Offer Expires 12/10/2020. Terms apply (see rates and fees).
Previous offer: Earn a $250 statement credit after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 3 months.
Not only is the welcome bonus higher, but the $95 annual fee will be waived for the first year. The required spending to earn the bonus is significantly higher, but the timeframe to complete the spending is doubled to six months. Terms apply.
Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express
Bonus offer as of Oct. 8, 2020: Earn a $200 statement credit after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 3 months. Terms apply (see rates and fees).
Previous offer: Earn a $150 statement credit after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 3 months.
The limited-time offer on the Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express is one-third bigger than the standard offer and doesn't require any additional spending.
