Anyone thinking of applying for the Capital One® Walmart Rewards™ Mastercard® just got an extra reason: New cardholders will enjoy a $50 bonus after spending $300 on holiday spending in the first three months of approval.

This bonus is available to those who apply for the card in Walmart stores Nov. 1 through Dec. 26, 2020, or online Nov. 17 to Dec. 1, 2020.

The deal coincides with big sales days at Walmart: The megastore hosts what it calls its “Black Friday Deals for Days” in November. Instead of one big sales day, as is traditional with Black Friday, Walmart is spreading out the discounts throughout the month starting Nov. 4.

The Capital One® Walmart Rewards™ Mastercard® already offers other ongoing rewards that can help stretch holiday budgets:

  • 5% cash back at Walmart.com, including for contact-free pickup and delivery.

  • 2% back on Walmart in-store purchases (including those made at Murphy USA and Walmart gas stations)

  • 2% back at restaurants (including delivery) and on travel.

  • 1% back everywhere else.

In addition to the new $50 spending bonus, cardholders can also enjoy the introductory offer of 5% cash back in Walmart stores for the first 12 months after approval when you use the card with Walmart Pay. (Walmart Pay is Walmart’s digital wallet, which you can use at checkout via your phone.)
