Many or all of the products featured here are from our partners who compensate us. This may influence which products we write about and where and how the product appears on a page. However, this does not influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own. Here is a list of our partners and here's how we make money.

If you’re sitting on Best Western Rewards points, but you don’t feel like redeeming them for a hotel stay, you can use them at Best Western partners. These partner redemptions probably won’t get you the same value as redeeming points for hotel stays in the Best Western family, but they may better fit your plans.

You can use Best Western points to:

Here’s your guide to redeeming Best Western Rewards points with partners.

Ways to redeem Best Western points, besides hotel stays

Shop on Amazon

You can redeem Best Western points for an Amazon.com voucher at the following ratios:

  • 16,000 points for a $50 Amazon e-voucher.

  • 32,000 points for a $100 Amazon e-voucher.

  • 64,000 points for a $200 Amazon e-voucher.

To redeem, log in to your Best Western Rewards account and go to the Best Western Redemption Mall. Check "shopping" in the award category. From there, choose one of the three Amazon.com voucher options.

Cash out (sort of)

You can redeem points for a digital Best Western Mastercard e-voucher that you can use online or on the phone (but not in a physical store).

The redemption rates are the same as for an Amazon.com voucher:

  • 16,000 points for a $50 Mastercard e-voucher.

  • 32,000 points for a $100 Mastercard e-voucher.

  • 64,000 points for a $200 Mastercard e-voucher.

You might prefer a Mastercard e-voucher instead of one for Amazon.com since you can spend it at a wider array of online merchants. To access this redemption, go to the Best Western Redemption Mall and check "shopping" as the award category. Then, choose your Best Western Mastercard denomination.

Get airline miles

Best Western has 13 airline partners. You can usually get 1,000 airline miles or points for 5,000 Best Western points, although there are a few exceptions:

  • AeroMexico Club Premier (5,000 points for 1,600 kilometers).

  • Aer Lingus Aerclub.

  • Air France Flying Blue (6,000 points for 1,000 miles).

  • Alaska Mileage Plan.

  • Alitalia Millemiglia (6,000 points for 1,000 miles).

  • Asiana’s Asiana Club.

  • Avianca LifeMiles.

  • Cathay Pacific Asia Miles.

  • Iberia’s Iberia Plus.

  • Southwest Rapid Rewards (5,000 BW points for 1,200 points).

  • Vueling’s Vueling Club.

To exchange your points for airline miles, go to the Best Western Redemption Mall and check "airline and partner rewards," then follow the prompts.

These aren't exceptional values, to say the least. So convert your Best Western Rewards points into airline miles only to top off your airline's mileage account for a specific award flight.

Give to charities

Best Western works with 10 charities, and you can donate points to these organizations at a ratio of 500 points to $2.

  • Project C.U.R.E.

  • Soldier On Fund (Canada).

  • Donate to Make-A-Wish.

  • BW for a Better World: KIVA.

  • The National Children’s Cancer Society.

  • Hotels for Heroes Donation.

  • BW for a Better World: Better World Fund.

  • BW for a Better World: Scholarship Program.

  • BW for a Better World: American Red Cross.

  • Best Friends Animal Society.

To donate, go to the Best Western Redemption Mall and select "charitable donations."

The bottom line

Traditionally, loyalty points won’t take you far when you use them outside of their respective programs, and Best Western points are no exception. You’ll normally get a better value redeeming them on Best Western hotels. But if you have no need for a Best Western hotel stay in the foreseeable future, you can use the points to donate to a charity, cash out for an electronic Amazon.com or Mastercard voucher, or transfer to airlines.
