Las Vegas is one of the most popular U.S. destinations for conventioneers, tourists, foodies, spa lovers and gamblers. But for World of Hyatt members looking to earn and redeem loyalty points for a stay, options are limited.

Here are some of the places where you can earn and redeem Hyatt points in Las Vegas.

Rio Hotel & Casino

For big casino vibes, head to the Rio Hotel & Casino. It's located a block off the Las Vegas Strip, which is a tad annoying as you'll likely end up taking a taxi or ride share to get to the main attractions.

Though, the hotel itself does offer a fair amount to do on its own property. That includes a casino, a large pool complex, a mini golf facility and tons of entertainment. Its most popular shows include the Penn & Teller magic show, and the Chippendales male revue.

As a Category 3 property, you can snag a room for as low as 9,000 points per night. This is one of the best places to redeem Hyatt points — the reason being due to resort fees. While this hotel usually charges hefty resort fees, Hyatt members get resort fees waived on award nights.

Not everyone needs a large casino, lavish dining and brand name shopping just steps from their room. Those looking for something simpler can turn to Hyatt Place Las Vegas. This is a Category 3 property, so members can score a redemption night starting at 9,000 points and still not be far from the Las Vegas Strip.

Similarly, the Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village is a Category 3 hotel that gives members the chance to redeem a night in a standard room starting at 9,000 points — with the added excitement of Silverton Village. There, you'll find Silverton Casino, plus shopping and dining options that you can walk to from your hotel.

Waived resort fees and free night certificates

World of Hyatt offers useful perks to members no matter where they're redeeming points, including waived resort fees. Those niggling surcharges can add quite a bit of heft to an otherwise cheap stay. Luckily, World of Hyatt does not charge resort fees on points redemptions; this makes the program a great choice for your Vegas stay.

Even better, the World of Hyatt Credit Card comes with an annual free-night certificate (on your cardmember anniversary) that can be redeemed at any Hyatt hotel up to Category 4 — this includes the Hyatt Places in Las Vegas, both of which are Category 3 properties.

You can score a second free-night certificate after spending $15,000 in a year, which could earn you two free nights in Vegas, just for using your credit card on your normal spending. With a relatively low $95 annual fee, that is quite a deal. Or as they say in Vegas, “Jackpot!”

How to earn World of Hyatt points quickly

If you're low on World of Hyatt points but are ready to roll the dice on a Vegas vacation, there are a lot of ways to increase that points balance. World of Hyatt has program partners offering the ability to earn points quickly.

  • Open a co-branded credit card. New holders of the World of Hyatt Credit Card can earn a welcome bonus: Earn 30,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening.
