Annual fee
The World of Hyatt Credit Card's $95 annual fee can easily be offset by the card's annual free night certificate.
The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card's annual fee is a much heftier $199, but it also provides up to $100 each year in statement credits to lessen the blow.
Spending toward elite status
Both cards allow you to earn elite night credits toward elite status by spending on your credit card, but the earning rate differs.
The World of Hyatt Credit Card: earns two elite night credits for every $5,000 dollars you spend. That's better for people who won’t put as much spending on this card.
The World of Hyatt Business Credit Cardearns a slightly better rate of five elite night credits for every $10,000 you spend on your card, which is better for bigger spenders.
Other perks share across both cards
Bonus points at Hyatt hotels. Both cards earn 4 points per dollar spent at Hyatt hotels — not including the 5x points every World of Hyatt member earns on most stays.
Elite status. Both cards offer Discoverist elite status, though the business version also lets you extend this to employees.
No foreign transaction fees. Neither card charges you for using it overseas.
Benefits unique to the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card
The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card offers addition perks, including:
$100 statement credit. You’ll be able to receive up to $100 each year in statement credits by spending at least $50 at a Hyatt property. This benefit can be redeemed twice per year, granting you a total of $100 in credits.
Redeemed point rebate. After spending $50,000 in a calendar year, you’ll receive a 10% rebate on all World of Hyatt points that you spend. Though this benefit maxes out on a total of 200,000 points redeemed per year, that’s a potential savings of 20,000 points.
Benefits unique to the World of Hyatt Credit Card
There’s just one main perk that the consumer version of this card offers that is unique: the ability to earn a second free night certificate valid at up to Category 4 hotels after spending $15,000 on your card within a calendar year.
