    This is an ok credit card. The big value is the $50 companion ticket. I took my wife to Alaska and her ticket was $50 instead of $600. If you are not going to travel at least once a year on Alaska airlines, then it’s still good for miles.

    First, the rewards program is ok, but the way Alaska applies miles has you flying at off times or with very long layovers. Anything convenient will cost you extra in either cash or more miles. I especially want to warn everyone that BofA says you get 25,000 miles “upon approval”. Well almost 60 days after I was approved for this card I still don’t have the miles. Several calls to BofA says the miles will get credited after the first billing cycle. Also, documentation that came in the welcome package clearly states that only 20,000 miles are credited initially, with an additional 5,000 after $750 in purchases. None of this can be found anywhere in the terms and conditions presented when applying for the card. This means I’m taking my free flight (if I ever get the bonus miles) and canceling every account I possibly can with BofA – even refinancing my house. Never again doing business with BofA.
