At NerdWallet, we’re always looking for ways to help consumers effortlessly find and save money to give them more time, and more money, to do what makes them happy.
To that end, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of NerdWallet Cash Back, a new product feature within our mobile app which automatically gives users cash back whenever they shop at more than 10,000 participating merchants.
Our users are constantly searching for ways to maximize their credit card rewards: they want to squeeze as much value out of their cards as possible and they want it to be effortless. With NerdWallet Cash Back, users could save up to $56 a year by simply linking a credit or debit card with the NerdWallet app and then shopping at their favorite stores. It’s entirely free to use and can be combined with cash back credit cards, retail coupons and other deals to maximize earnings.
The most exciting aspect of Cash Back is how it works in tandem with our existing app features and enhances the data-driven insights and recommendations we already provide:
Home: Helps users understand what they need to know about their finances today, including where they stand, what’s changed and what to do about it.
Profile: Captures the full picture of users’ money across their entire financial life so they can make better financial decisions. We give our members a complete picture of how they spend, save and invest and how they can optimize those behaviors.
Market: Allows users to easily compare and shop for financial products and services, such as mortgages, credit cards, auto loans and personal loans, and identifies financial products that are the best fit for their needs.
We’ve seen tremendous growth in the use of the NerdWallet mobile app and are excited about all of the ways we’re helping our members find and save money. This year, we’ve organically grown our membership base by 200%, but, more importantly, we’ve helped active users identify more than $1 million in total savings potential*.
