The three credit cards in Barclays' portfolio of Arrival products are no longer available to new applicants — but if you already have one of them, the rewards you earn will be more flexible for a limited time.

Arrival miles are still worth a penny each when you redeem them to "erase" eligible travel expenses. But through Jan. 31, 2021, Barclays confirms that you can also redeem miles at that same rate toward purchases made at qualifying grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants. This applies to the following cards:

Typically, miles are worth only about half-a-cent each (or sometimes less) when redeemed toward non-travel expenses, including things like cash back, gift cards or merchandise.

Also through Jan. 31, the minimum redemption threshold for the Barclaycard Arrival Plus® World Elite Mastercard® and the Barclays Arrival® Premier World Elite Mastercard® has been cut in half. You can now redeem a minimum of 5,000 miles, instead of the usual 10,000. (The minimum redemption for the Barclaycard Arrival™ World Mastercard® remains unchanged at 2,500 miles.)
