Chase Freedom Q2 2019 Bonus: Home Improvement and Grocery Stores
The 5% bonus categories provide value to home chefs and DIYers tackling improvement projects.

This spring, fix up your home and invite friends over to dinner. The Chase Freedom® will have two bonus categories for the second quarter of 2019: grocery stores, a perennial favorite, and home improvement stores, which haven't been a bonus category since 2014.
From April 1 through June 30, 2019, cardmembers can earn 5% cash back in combined spending in these categories on up to $1,500 (activation required). All other purchases will earn 1% back.
You can activate the bonus categories online beginning March 15, 2019. Beginning in early April, cardmembers will be able to activate quarterly categories on the Chase mobile app.
