Citi Strata Premier Launches as a Refresh of the Citi Premier

On May 12, 2024, Citi launched the Citi Strata Premier℠ Card, a revamp of its long-serving Citi Premier® Card that is no longer taking applications. The new card offers many of the same rewards and benefits, plus a few additional perks.
The Citi Strata Premier℠ Card has a $95 annual fee, and new cardholders can earn 70,000 bonus ThankYou Points after spending $4,000 within the first three months of account opening.
New features of the Citi Strata Premier℠ Card
The Citi Strata Premier℠ Card adds new rewards spending categories, as well as travel protections:
10 ThankYou points per $1 spent on hotels, car rentals and attractions booked through the Citi Travel site.
3 ThankYou points per $1 spent at EV charging stations.
Coverage in the event of trip cancellation, interruption or delay.
Coverage if your luggage is lost or damaged.
Rental car coverage.
Beginning May 12, 2024, existing Citi Premier® Card holders will have access to these new benefits on their cards.
Perks that carry over from the Citi Premier® Card
The Citi Strata Premier℠ Card will offer some of the same benefits the Citi Premier® Card offered, including:
3 ThankYou points per $1 spent at restaurants, supermarkets and gas stations, and on air travel and hotels.
1 ThankYou point per $1 on other purchases.
