The Iberia Visa Signature® Card can help you collect Iberia Airlines points — called Avios — and offers some remarkable benefits and earning opportunities. With a chance to earn up to 100,000 bonus Avios and features like the $1,000 discount voucher, it’s possible to save some serious money and easily offset the $95 annual fee.
Ways to get the most from the Iberia Visa Signature® Card
Earn the welcome bonus
Earn up to 100,000 bonus Avios. Earn 50,000 bonus Avios after you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. Plus earn an additional 50,000 bonus Avios after you spend $20,000 on your purchases within your first year of account opening.
If you meet both spend requirements, you could end up with at least 120,000 Avios after your first year of account opening.

Take advantage of the $1,000 discount voucher
Iberia Visa Signature® Card customers can get a $1,000 discount voucher if they spend $30,000 on the card in one calendar year. This voucher can only be used when purchasing two round-trip tickets, for the same flights in the same class of travel.
Here is how it works.
After the billing cycle in which you reach the $30,000 spend on the card, a discount voucher code will be issued.
Four to six weeks later, you will receive a discount voucher email from Iberia.
After that, you can go to iberia.com to make your purchase.
You can use the voucher on Iberia flights only (no codeshare, franchise or alliance airlines) and that you have to fly within 12 months of the date of issue. If you don’t use up the whole value of the discount voucher, the remaining balance will be forfeited.
Redeem your Avios strategically
Redeem on Iberia flights
Iberia Plus, the Iberia Airline award program, offers award flights both domestically and internationally. Iberia flies between Madrid and seven cities in the Continental U.S.: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. International flight routes that originate in the U.S. vary.
Your cost will vary depending on where you’re flying from and the time of the year, as Iberia Plus uses a peak and off-peak pricing model.
Redeem on American Airlines and other partners
You can also use Iberia Avios for booking domestic or international flights on 21 partner airlines, including American Airlines, British Airways and Avianca. You can transfer your Avios for flights operated by the Iberia Group or any airline in the Oneworld Alliance.
Keep in mind that some special discounts for cardholders, including the $1,000 flight voucher, are only eligible on Iberia-operated flights.

Spend on the credit card wisely
Earn 3 Avios per $1 on Iberia, British Airways, LEVEL and Aer Lingus and 2 Avios per $1 when you book a hotel room directly with a hotel. All other purchases will earn you 1 Avios per dollar spent.
Surprisingly, not all travel credit cards waive foreign transaction fees; it’s common for travelers to get hit with these annoying charges after they get home. This credit card doesn’t add a foreign transaction fee, so it’s safe to use it to pay for your accommodations anywhere in the world.
Use the 10% discount on Iberia flights
Cardholders can book their next roundtrip flight at iberia.com/Chase10 and enjoy a 10% discount.
The 10% discount applies to up to nine traveling companions on the same reservation, so it can be a very valuable benefit. Keep in mind that the discount is valid on the airfare only and cannot be applied to fees for baggage or seat assignments, nor on purchasing Avios for rewards.

The bottom line
The Iberia Visa Signature® Card is a well-rounded card with a generous welcome bonus and solid benefits that have the potential to cover the modest $95 annual fee many times over.
However, the card’s terms clearly favor customers who can put a substantial spend on the card, and who are mostly interested in traveling to or via Spain (home of Iberia Airlines' headquarters). If you fit this profile, you might get a lot of value from this credit card.
