The Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card is a great business credit card for everyday expenses. It earns an unlimited 1.5% cash back on every purchase your small business makes. Plus, rewards can be redeemed at any time for cash back, gift cards, travel and more. When you get your Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card, here are the steps you need to take to maximize the benefits from your card.
Mark your calendar for the welcome bonus

Bookmark the Chase Ultimate Rewards shopping portal
Before shopping online, go through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal to earn additional points on your purchases. These points are in addition to the cash back rewards you earn from your credit card. To make the process easier and quicker, bookmark the Chase Ultimate Rewards website in your internet browser.
Set the Ink Business Unlimited card as your default payment method
Most rewards credit cards earn only 1 point or mile per dollar spent on non-bonus spending. For your bills that don’t qualify for bonus categories on other rewards credit cards, the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card should be your default payment method. This way you are earning 1.5% cash back on all of those purchases.
Familiarize yourself with travel and purchase benefits
The Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card offers travel and purchase benefits to protect you and your purchases. When renting a car for business purposes, you’ll receive primary rental car coverage in the event of vehicle damage or theft.
When making purchases with the card, they’ll be protected against damage or theft for up to $10,000 per claim for 120 days from the date of purchase. This benefit has a maximum of $50,000 per account. Purchases also receive extended warranty protection of an additional year on eligible manufacturer warranties of three years or less.
Pair it with other Ultimate Rewards-earning credit cards
The Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card is advertised as a cash-back rewards card, but purchases actually earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Business owners can redeem rewards for cash back, gift cards, travel and more at one cent per point.

Take advantage of 0% APR introductory offer on purchases
Business owners sometimes need a little extra flexibility when paying off their purchases. This card currently offers 0% intro APR on Purchases for 12 months, and then the ongoing APR of 13.24%-19.24% Variable APR.
This means that your purchases will not be charged interest during this promotional period, even if you don’t pay your balance in full each month. After the 12-month 0% introductory APR on purchases is over, your interest rate will revert to the standard purchase rate based on your creditworthiness. This card does not currently offer a 0% introductory APR on balance transfers.
Set up an automatic payment of the minimum balance due
The life of an entrepreneur can get busy. You should set up an automatic payment of the minimum balance due so that you never miss a payment. This ensures that your account is not charged late fees and does not go into default. Ideally, you will pay your balances in full each month. However, that is not a reality for all small business owners.
Register your card for additional rewards
In addition to the rewards earned from your Chase Ink Business Unlimited card and the Chase shopping portal, there are several other opportunities to earn additional rewards on your purchases. This is known as “stacking rewards” in the points world.
Here are just a few of the additional rewards programs you can register for. With them, you'll receive discounts and stack miles, points and cash back earned:
Dosh — Earn cash back on dining at participating restaurants and retailers.
Rewards Network — Earn airline miles or cash back on dining at participating restaurants (seven airlines to choose from).
Bumped — Earn stock from select companies based on your purchases.
Visa SavingsEdge — Save automatically on qualifying purchases from participating retailers.
The bottom line
After getting approved for the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card, follow these steps to maximize the rewards you earn and the benefits received from your card. Some of these steps are automatic, but others require a little effort. The rewards and protections are worth it.
