The World of Hyatt just keeps growing.

Other hotel brands joining World of Hyatt

The addition of Joie de Vivre hotels comes hot on the heels of Thompson Hotels joining World of Hyatt in March. Thompson Hotels are known for their unique neighborhood layouts and luxurious rooms.

The World of Hyatt benefits at the various Thompson Hotels throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico are still being rolled out. However, on May 15, 2019, Hyatt members started enjoying loyalty benefits at Thompson Playa del Carmen and Thompson Beach House in Mexico.

Alila Hotels and Destination Hotels are the next brands set to join the World of Hyatt later this year. In total, the addition of these brands will give World of Hyatt members access to more than 60 hotels across more than 20 new markets. These new destinations include Vail, Colorado and Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.

Bonus points and a free night

Hyatt is encouraging its members to try out the new brands with an introductory promotion. You can earn 2,000 bonus points for your first stay at each of the new brands (Thompson Hotels, Joie de Vivre Hotels, Alila Hotels and Destination Hotels). Plus, you’ll get a free night when you try all four. This free night can be redeemed at any Category 1-4 Hyatt Hotel. Eligible stays begin when each brand joins World of Hyatt. Your stays must be completed by Dec. 31, 2019, to qualify for this promotion.

The bottom line

According to NerdWallet’s latest research, World of Hyatt points are valued at 1.9 cents each. The addition of more hotel brands, like the boutique Joie de Vivre hotels, gives World of Hyatt members more earning and redeeming options when traveling. Options are always a good thing.
