Atmos Rewards, the joint loyalty program of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, is one of the few domestic airline loyalty programs that still publishes an award chart. The latest changes to these charts went live in August 2025 during the roll-out of Atmos Rewards.

The Atmos Rewards award chart

Atmos Rewards has different awards charts depending on whether you are flying on Alaska or Hawaiian, or one of their partner-operated flights.

The number of miles required for an award is based on the region you’re traveling to, your flight’s distance in miles and your desired fare class.

Alaska and Hawaiian awards

Award flights wholly operated by Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines and departing from the contiguous U.S. (including Alaska and Canada) to North America start as low as 5,000 points.

Award stopover rules

Atmos Rewards has one of the best multi-city award booking policies out there. You can have one complimentary stopover on a one-way flight and up to two stopovers on a round-trip, not counting your final destination.

Use points to upgrade to first class

Depending on availability, the fare class of your ticket and your elite status, you can redeem Atmos points for a first class upgrade. Note that these upgrades are not eligible for lounge access.

The bottom line

Atmos Rewards is one of the few domestic airline loyalty programs that still publishes an award chart, even if it only shows the base number of points needed for an award. This makes it extremely helpful for planning how to use your points. Additionally, the Atmos Rewards stopover rules are as friendly as any frequent flyer program.
