Alaska Airlines and Bank of America® are ramping up marketing for the business version of the airline’s co-branded credit card.
The Alaska Airlines Visa® Business credit card can be ideal for small-business owners who are frequent flyers on Alaska Airlines. And like the consumer version of the card, this one includes the valuable Companion Fare feature.
Companion Fare benefit: After every anniversary year with the card, you can buy one ticket and get another for $99 plus taxes and fees, which will tack on at least $22. This is valid on all Alaska flights booked on alaskaair.com with no blackout dates.
Sign-up bonus: Separately from the ongoing Companion Fare benefit, you’ll also be eligible for the following: 40,000 Bonus Miles + Alaska's Famous Companion Fare™ Offer: Get 40,000 bonus miles plus Alaska's Famous Campanion Fare from $121 ($99 fare plus taxes and fees from just $22) with this offer. To qualify, make purchases of $2,000 or more within the first 90 days of opening your account.
Annual fee: $50 for the company and $25 per card.
Rewards: 3 miles for every $1 spent directly on Alaska Airlines purchases and 1 mile for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
Bag benefit: Free checked bag on Alaska flights for you and up to six other passengers on the same reservation.
Discounts: Get 50% off Alaska Lounge day passes, plus 20% back on in-flight food, beverage and Wi-Fi purchases when you use your card to pay.
International use: No foreign transaction fees and widely accepted Visa payment network.
APR: The ongoing APR is 16.74% - 24.74% Variable APR.
The Alaska Airlines Visa® Business credit card is similar to the consumer card, the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card. But it has a few different perks for business owners. For example, business owners can set spending limits for individual employees and protect themselves against unauthorized employee charges.
Note the annual fee for the consumer card is $75, while the business card’s fee varies depending on the number of employee cards, $50 for the company and $25 per card.
