The Hilton Honors credit card portfolio has officially gained two new American Express credit cards — a premium card for frequent travelers, and a small-business card — while two existing products have been updated. And we’ve learned a bit more about all of the offerings.

New cards

  • The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire card carries a $450 annual fee but offers generous perks that can help offset it, including travel credits, automatic Hilton Honors Diamond status and unlimited access to Priority Pass airport lounges. It offers a nice bonus for new cardholders: Earn 150,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 in purchases on the Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership. Terms Apply.
  • The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card has an annual fee of $95. Cardholders will also get automatic Hilton Honors Gold status with the card. Its bonus offer for newcomers: Earn 125,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points with the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card after you spend $3,000 in eligible purchases in the first 3 months of Card Membership. Terms Apply.

Updated cards

Two existing cards also have been updated as part of the AmEx-Hilton launch. Among other changes, both cards no longer charge foreign transaction fees (formerly 2.7%):

  • The Hilton Honors American Express Card comes with this bonus offer for new cardholders: Earn 75,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points with the Hilton Honors American Express Card after you use your new Card to make $1,000 in eligible purchases within the first 3 months of Card Membership. Terms Apply.
  • The Hilton Honors™ Surpass® Card from American Express has been rebranded as the Hilton Honors American Express Ascend Card. (UPDATE July 18, 2019: This card has revived the Surpass name and is now called the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card. The current bonus offer: Earn 125,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points with the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card after you use your new Card to make $2,000 in eligible purchases within the first 3 months of Card Membership. Terms Apply.)
