The Hilton Honors credit card portfolio has officially gained two new American Express credit cards — a premium card for frequent travelers, and a small-business card — while two existing products have been updated. And we’ve learned a bit more about all of the offerings.
For more information on the launch of these cards, their rewards rates and other perks, visit our previous story on the announcement.
The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire card carries a $450 annual fee but offers generous perks that can help offset it, including travel credits, automatic Hilton Honors Diamond status and unlimited access to Priority Pass airport lounges.
The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card has an annual fee of $95. Cardholders will also get automatic Hilton Honors Gold status with the card.
Both cards also are offering generous bonuses for new cardholders:
- The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire card: Earn 150,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 in purchases on the Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership. Terms Apply.
- The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card: Earn 125,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points with the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card after you spend $3,000 in eligible purchases in the first 3 months of Card Membership. Terms Apply.
Two existing cards also have been updated as part of the AmEx-Hilton launch: the Hilton Honors American Express Card; and the Hilton Honors™ Surpass® Card from American Express, which has been rebranded as the Hilton Honors American Express Ascend Card. Among other changes, both cards no longer charge foreign transaction fees (formerly 2.7%). With these cards, bonuses for new cardholders are as follows:
All four cards are linked to the Hilton Honors loyalty program, which allows cardholders to earn even more rewards.
NerdWallet values Hilton Honors points at an average of 0.5 cents apiece.
Information about the Hilton Honors™ Surpass® Card from American Express has been collected independently by NerdWallet. This card is no longer available through NerdWallet.
