Credit card welcome bonus

Hawaiian Airlines offers two co-branded credit cards that allow you to earn HawaiianMiles: The Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® and the The Hawaiian Airlines® Business MasterCard®.

As with most credit cards, the greatest value for both of these is in the welcome bonus. The Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® offers the following bonus: Limited Time Offer: Earn 60,000 bonus miles after spending $2,000 on purchases in the first 90 days.

Considering that a one-way ticket from the West Coast to Hawaii can be booked for as little as 17,500 miles, this welcome bonus provides incredible value for cardholders.

Bonus spending categories

Once you’ve qualified for your welcome bonus, the next best way to earn HawaiianMiles is to maximize your bonus spending categories. The highest category bonus for both of these cards is for money spent directly through Hawaiian Airlines: 3 miles per $1 spent.

To cover your everyday spending, the Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® offers 2 miles back $1 spent on gas, dining and grocery store purchases.

The Hawaiian Airlines® Business MasterCard® also offers 2x miles on gas, dining and office supply stores. All other spending on both cards earns you 1 mile per $1 spent.

While there are many similarities between these two cards, the The Hawaiian Airlines® Business MasterCard® does offer one important way to earn miles that theHawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® does not.

In addition to the miles you earn from your regular spending, theThe Hawaiian Airlines® Business MasterCard® will give you an additional 20,000 miles if you spend at least $50,000 annually. You’ll earn 40,000 miles if you spend $100,000 annually.
