Pros and cons

Pros
  • No preset spending limit

Cons
  • Has annual fee

The Business Green Rewards Card from American Express offers some spending flexibility, but that's not enough to overcome its meager rewards, perks and bonus offer.

It earns:

--2 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on eligible purchases at amextravel.com.

--1 point per dollar on all other spending.

--Terms apply.

Those rewards aren't very competitive, especially given the card's annual fee of $0 intro for the first year, then $95. Small-business operators can get much better rewards and better terms with competing cards, including from American Express itself.
