Pros and cons

Pros
  • Qualify with limited / bad credit

  • No annual fee

  • 5.90% for 6 mos on transfers

Cons
  • No rewards

Verdict - A great low APR card, but lacking in rewards.

The Wells Fargo College Vias Card offers some of the lowest APRs around, especially after taking the 5.9% for 6 month intro balance transfer and purchase APR rate into account. However, there are even better low APR cards out there, and the Wells Fargo College Visa does not offer rewards.

We'd recommend checking out the student credit cards page before you decide on a College card. You can sort either by (i) Effective Annual Rate (which takes introductory periods into account), or (ii) Rewards, depending on what you are looking for.
