We believe everyone should be able to make financial decisions with
confidence. While we don't cover every company or financial product on
the market, we work hard to share a wide range of offers and objective
editorial perspectives.
So how do we make money? Our partners compensate us for advertisements that
appear on our site. This compensation helps us provide tools and services -
like free credit score access and monitoring. With the exception of
mortgage, home equity and other home-lending products or services, partner
compensation is one of several factors that may affect which products we
highlight and where they appear on our site. Other factors include your
credit profile, product availability and proprietary website methodologies.
However, these factors do not influence our editors' opinions or ratings, which are based on independent research and analysis. Our partners cannot
pay us to guarantee favorable reviews. Here is a list of our partners.

Nowadays, most travel credit cards charge an annual fee in exchange for lucrative rewards and travel-friendly perks. So if you're against paying a fee to carry a credit card, most travel credit cards won't make the cut.
Enter the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card, which offers standout rewards in multiple popular spending categories, plus valuable travel protections — all for a $0 annual fee.
NerdWallet's ratings are determined by our editorial team. The scoring formula takes into account the type of card being reviewed (such as cash back, travel or balance transfer) and the card's rates, fees, rewards and other features.
1. High rewards rate on multiple spending categories
No matter how you spend your money, you’ll be able to rack up rewards quickly with the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card.
Cardholders earn 3 points per dollar spent on a whopping six bonus categories:
Restaurants.
Travel.
Gas stations and EV charging stations.
Transit.
Select streaming services.
Phone plans.
All other purchases made on the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card earn 1 point per dollar spent.
2. Access to My Wells Fargo Deals
Cardholders of the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card have access to My Wells Fargo Deals, which gives you extra bonus points at select stores for a limited time. Once you activate the offer, you'll earn extra rewards on in-store or online purchases.
Wells Fargo gives cardholders the ability to redeem points for a statement credit, travel booked through Wells Fargo, gift cards and when checking out online through PayPal. Points are worth 1 cent apiece with each of these options.
But you also have the ability to transfer rewards to a number of different loyalty programs, which can earn you outsize value. For example, you can transfer points from the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card to the Air France/KLM Flying Blue loyalty program at a 1:1 ratio, meaning you'll get 1 mile for every point you transfer. Since NerdWallet values Flying Blue miles at 0.8 cent apiece, a smart redemption could increase the value of your points by 20% or more.

You won’t pay anything to carry the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card, because it doesn’t charge an annual fee — a rarity among travel credit cards.
5. Enticing sign-up bonus
The Wells Fargo Autograph® Card comes with a sizable sign-up bonus: Earn 20,000 bonus points when you spend $1,000 in purchases in the first 3 months - that's a $200 cash redemption value. Other travel credit cards have larger sign-up bonuses, but this is pretty valuable for a no-annual-fee card.
6. 0% introductory annual percentage rate on purchases
If you’re planning on making a large purchase, the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card gives you extra time to pay it off. You’ll get a 0% intro APR for 12 months from account opening on purchases, and then the ongoing APR of 18.49%, 24.49%, or 28.49% Variable APR.
The Wells Fargo Autograph® Card is a great travel companion because it doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees. These fees typically cost around 3% of any international purchase, so this card could help you save when you're on vacation.
As long as you put your entire rental car purchase on the card and decline the rental company’s insurance, the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card will cover any loss or damage to the car, up to $50,000. It's important to note, though, that this insurance is secondary for reservations in the United States, meaning that it will only kick in after you've used your regular car insurance. For international rental car purchases, this coverage is primary.
9. Roadside assistance
The Wells Fargo Autograph® Card comes with Roadside Dispatch, a roadside assistance program. You have to pay to use the program, but you'll be able to access towing services, a tire change, jump start or other emergency vehicle services whenever you need them.
10. 24/7 Visa Concierge service
The Wells Fargo Autograph® Card comes with Visa Concierge service, which can help you do anything from booking flights to getting event tickets and dinner reservations. You can call 24 hours a day.
11. Cell phone protection
If you use the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card to pay your monthly cell phone bill, you’ll get up to $600 in cell phone protection. It comes with a $25 deductible, covering both cell phone damage and theft.
