Robinhood, the stock-trading service, is launching a premium, invite-only credit card: the Robinhood Platinum Card. Plated in actual platinum, the card charges a $695 annual fee. Robinhood promises credit limits up to five times higher than those offered by the Robinhood Gold Card. Like the Gold card, the Platinum card will also be issued by Coastal Community Bank.
Cardholders will get a complimentary Robinhood Gold membership, which usually costs $5 a month. Here’s what else the Robinhood Platinum Card will offer.
Rewards on spending
The Robinhood Platinum Card will earn:
- 5% cash back on dining, on up to $50,000 in spending per year (you’ll earn 1% back after that).
- 5% cash back on flights booked through the Robinhood Travel portal.
- 10% cash back on hotels and rental cars booked through the Robinhood Travel portal.
- 1% cash back on all other purchases.
You must have a Robinhood Financial brokerage account to redeem cash back.
Travel benefits
- $120 TSA PreCheck/Global Entry credit every four years.
- Priority Pass Select membership for airport lounge access.
- $300 annual travel credit ($150 every six months). Travel doesn’t need to be booked through the Robinhood Travel portal. You’ll be credited automatically when a transaction for an eligible travel purchase is posted to your account.
- $500 in hotel booking credits ($250 every six months). Hotels must be booked through the Robinhood Travel portal. Bookings for “qualifying luxury hotels” will get you the full $250 credit, while “standard” hotel bookings can be credited up to $100. A two-night minimum stay is required.
- $250 autonomous ride credit ($20 per month, $30 in December). If you live in a city with driverless ridesharing services, this credit is for you.
Dining benefits
- $250 annual dining credit ($20 per month, $30 in December). The credit will be applied for purchases at more than 15,000 participating restaurants.
- $250 DoorDash credits (three $10 discounts each January, two $10 discounts each other month). Discounts can be applied to delivery orders of $50 or more. Cardholders also get a complimentary DashPass membership.
Wellness benefits
- $365 Function Health membership. Get access to lab testing and personalized health recommendations.
- $199 Amazon One Medical membership. Valued at $199, you can access 24/7 telehealth appointments. If you live in a city with a physical location, you can get same- or next-day in-person appointments.
- $70 Oura membership. If you buy an Oura Ring, you’ll get a complimentary one-year Oura membership. You must opt into the benefit on the Robinhood Banking app, and then buy an Oura Ring and prepaid Oura membership within six months.
- $200 health wearables credit. This is an annual credit toward eligible health wearables purchases.
How can you get a Robinhood Platinum Card?
For now, you can provide your email address on the card’s website to request access. From there, you wait for an unspecified period of time.
The Robinhood Gold Card, which launched in 2024, also operates with a waitlist.
